NORWALK - Chester J. Wright, 67, of Norwalk, died Tuesday evening at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

He was born April 30, 1940 in Wakeman to the late Clarence and Flora L. (Neworth) Wright and was a lifelong area resident.

He was a member of Eagles Aerie No. 711, Norwalk, Moose Lodge No. 1248, Norwalk and the Norwalk Bronson Conservation Club. He was a former employee of the Stokley Company in Norwalk, Brooker Brothers of Norwalk, Joseph Stein Nursery, Norwalk, Bob Wagner and the Huron County Health Department, and he took care of George Schild's horses.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Joan (Roberts) Wright of Norwalk; stepsons, Ronnie Christie of Kilgore, Texas, Edward Christie of Norwalk and Emmitt Christie of Norwalk; stepdaughters, Theresa Gantz of Norwalk and Helena Christie of Norwalk; 13 grandchildren; brothers, Eldon Wright of Norwalk, Robert Wright of Sandusky, Clayton Wright of Florida, and Harold Wright of Sandusky; and sisters, Sara Wilcox of Norwalk and Rosemary Wright of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Clarence Wright Jr.; and a sister and a grandson.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. Friday at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. Kenneth Conley will officiate.
