Larry L. Fritz, I, age 72, of New London, died Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk.

He was born September 14, 1940 in Norwalk, son of the late Peter A. and Anna M. (Grimmer) Fritz.

Larry was raised in Norwalk and moved to New London in 1969.

He had worked for A & P Grocery Store for 22 years. Eleven years in Norwalk and eleven years in New London until 1979. Larry "the Pizza Man" and his wife Rita have owned and operated the New London Pizza House since 1969.

He was a member of Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church, New London, where he was a Eucharistic minister, a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Norwalk Eagles 711 for 54 years.

He loved his family, children and grandchildren. Larry was an avid boater and fisherman. He loved Lake Erie and the Marblehead areas. He loved to travel, read and spending time on his computers.

The pre-school children will all remember "the Pizza Man" for the pizza tours he gave them every year.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rita A. (Miller) Fritz; his children, Larry (Lisa) Fritz, II of Norwalk, Mary (Greg) Spears of Marblehead, Geri Spears of New London; his grandchildren, Haley Spears, Trevor Spears, Heather Spears, Nikki Spears, Larry Fritz, III, Jamie Fritz; his brother-in-law- and sister-in-law, Alan (Jill) Miller of Olmsted Falls, sister-in-law, Sister Mary Alan Miller of New London; his dog Coco.

Friends may call from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 where a service and time of sharing memories will be at 8:00 p.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church, 18 Park Ave., New London with Father Doug Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery, New London.

Memorials may be given to his Grandchildren's college fund, Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church or to the New London Public Library, 67 South Main St., New London, Ohio 44851.
