WILLARD -- Raymond VanLoo (83) of Willard went to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 23, 2013 at his home with his family at his side. He was born August 21, 1929 in Celeryville to the late Garrett and Trentje (Newmeyer) VanLoo. Mr. VanLoo was a Mess Sergeant in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. In 1959 he began farming at Wiers Farm as a radish crew boss, then in later years he was in charge of the green houses.
Raymond attended the First Baptist Church in Norwalk, enjoyed hunting, having coffee with Burger King coffee buddies and was an avid Ohio sports fan. He truly enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.
Raymond is survived by his wife: Marilyn (Wiers) VanLoo whom he married January 7, 1959. 4 Daughters: Merry Wiers (Jim) Gamm of Rockford, MI, Patricia Wiers (Mike) Ziegelhofer of Lexington, Jane VanLoo (Howard) Krikke of Greenwich and Jill VanLoo (Wayne) TerVeen of Charlotte, NC. 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 brothers: John (Lucy) VanLoo of Plymouth and Bernard VanLoo of Willard. He was preceded in death by his parents, son: Norman Wiers II, Granddaughter Laura Krikke and brothers: William, Henry, and Gerald VanLoo.

Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, 67E. Main Street, Norwalk, 44857. With the Rev. Dr. Paul Lamb of the church officiating.
