NORWALK Milton F. Hohler, 86, of Norwalk, died Saturday morning in his home.

He was born Dec. 29, 1920 in North Monroeville, son of the late John F. and Verna S. (Wilhelm) Hohler. He was a lifelong area resident.

He retired in 1981 from Ford Motor Company in Sandusky and was a former truck driver. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.

He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp, serving during World War II. He was a life member of Firelands Post No. 2743 Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marilyn A. (Orians) Hohler of Norwalk; sons and daughters-in-law, Craig F. and Michele Hohler of Houston, Texas, Charles J. and Kathy Hohler of Concord and Alan R. and Julee Hohler of Powell; daughters and son-in-law, Janis M. Burdge of Norwalk and Kris A. and Dennis Doughty of Norwalk; nine grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and June Hohler of Newark, Delaware.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Hohler; and sisters, Ethel Windau and Elizabeth Welfle.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, where prayer services will be held at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St., Norwalk. The Rev. Frank Kehres will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
