Billy Carson Persinger, age 67, of Nova, died Saturday, March 16, 2013 at his home.
He was born April 4, 1945 in Crab Orchard, West Virginia, son of the late Alfred A. and Erma (Smith) Persinger. He had lived in North Ridgeville for several years before moving to Nova in 1969. He had served in the U.S. Army from 1962 - 1968 in Germany. Billy had worked for General Motors-Parma Stamping for 30 years where he retired in 2000.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene ( Pedraza) Persinger; his children, Billy Carson Persinger, Jr. of Pennsylvania, Tammy Kay Shifflett of Virginia Beach, Virginia; 2 grandchildren, Jessica Kay and Dustin Lee Shaffer; his siblings, Shelva Cox, Carolyn
Thompson, and Delmas Persinger all of Beckley, W.Va. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Betty Persinger, Rita Brock, Darrell and Harold Persinger.
Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London.
Burial will follow at Nova Cemetery.
