Dwayne P. Skinner, 82, of Sandusky, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 6, 2013 at Stein Hospice Care Center following a lengthy illness.
Skip was born July 1, 1930 in Willard, Ohio, to the late Elmer and Elizabeth (Elliott) Skinner.
He retired from New Departure where he was employed for 44 years, a member of the Eagles in Huron, Sandusky Amvets and the UAW Local 913. Skip enjoyed fishing, golfing, dartball, shuffleboard and reading. He loved his "Faithful K9 Companion" Dusty.
Skip is survived by his four children; Brenda (Bo) Montgomery, Linda (Bob) Oddo, Cindy Barrett, Dan (Kim) Skinner, seven grandchildren; Laurie, Ronnie, Kelly, Brandon, Ann, Joe, Jeffrey, and his special friend Ann Spadaro.
Including his parents, Skip was preceded in death by his siblings and grandson, Jason in 1982.
A private family service will take place at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory, Sandusky, Ohio.
