Margaret T. (Mahl) Smith (83) of Willard, died at 7:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the Mifflin Care Center, Mansfield, Oh.
She was born April 27, 1929 in Havana, Oh to the late Peter and Marie (Bannworth) Mahl. She was married June 30, 1951 to Albert R. Smith who preceded her in death in 1993.
Mrs. Smith worked 36 years at Pioneer Rubber Company. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and Daughters of Trinity. Mrs. Smith was a member of the former chapter of the OES in Willard and was a past matron. She was also a life member of the Queen Esther Chapter in Norwalk as well as a member of the Willard American Legion, Ladies Aux, very active with the Willard Senior Center and the friendly neighbor group. Mrs. Smith enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, playing dominos, and quilting.
Mrs. Smith is survived by 4 nephews and 4 nieces including Jeanette (Ron) Brown of Tiro, several great nieces and nephews and 2 great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Sister Ruth Ludin, Brother: Howard Mahl, an infant bother and niece.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February, 23, 2013 at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Roger Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven.
Friends may call Friday 4-7 PM at the Lindsey-Kocher Funeral Service, 323 Myrtle Ave., Willard and from 10-11AM at the church on Saturday.
