SANDUSKY - Wilbert L. Kellogg, 85, of Sandusky, died Wednesday afternoon at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 5, 1922 in Norwalk, and was a Navy veteran of World War II, where he was a Machinist 1st Class. He was the founder and owner for more than 40 years of the Kellogg Professional Product, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sandusky, Perseverance Lodge No. 329, F. & A.M., Aladdin Shrine Club, Columbus, Singara Grotto, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie No. 2875 of Huron, Commodore Denig Post No. 83, American Legion, and a life member of the Lowell C. Hein Post 2529, V.F.W., Sandusky.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Marcia and Thomas Dawson of Norwalk and Pamela and Paul Warner of Sandusky; four grandchildren and their spouses, six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor (Kaufman) Kellogg in 1994; second wife, Imogene (Rexrode) Kellogg in 2006; three brothers and one sister.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Ave., Sandusky where Perseverance Lodge will hold memorial services at 7 p.m. Monday. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. The Rev. John B. Mawhirter will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
