GREENWICH Frank I. Whitaker, 67, of Greenwich, died Wednesday at his home after a short illness.
He was born May 23, 1940 in Gunlock, Ky. to Adam and Rebecca (Howard) Whitaker. He had lived in Greenwich since the early 1960's.
He worked at the former C.E. Ward Company and Thomas Creative Apparel, both of New London. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Mansfield, where he accepted the Lord as his Savior last year.
He is survived by his sons, Tim Bowman of Greenwich, Jeff (Dawne) Whitaker of Ashland and Adam Whitaker of Greenwich; two granddaughters of Ashland and a grandson of Greenwich; sisters, Mary Ratliff of Shiloh, Elderie Wireman, Eda England, and Evalee Shepherd of Indiana, Sally Jane Brown and Dosale Wireman of Kentucky; and a brother, Bill Whitaker of Martin, Ky.
He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Friends may call from 12:30 until the time of funeral service at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich. The Rev. Randy Raynes will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
