Phyllis Ann Stevens nee Farrington, 74, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Hillside Acres in Willard, Ohio.
She was born September 15, 1938 in Bellefontaine, OH. She graduated as valedictorian from North Fairfield High School in 1956. Celebrating 55 years together, she was the wife of Donald Stevens of New Haven, OH, who survives her. Though a devastating car accident in 1981 changed her life forever, her faith in God never wavered. She passed on a legacy of love and hope to her family, friends, and to all she met.
She is also survived by her sons, Kip (Debra) Stevens, Shelby, OH, Dennis (Alaine) Stevens, Springfield, MO, Scott (Jayne) Stevens, Homerville, OH, and daughter, Kimberly (Nathan) Sauder, Archbold, OH; her siblings, Robert (Patricia) Farrington, James (Charlotte) Farrington, Betty Hiltbrunner, Shirley Smith and Deborah (Bob) Hearn; eleven grandchildren, Gabriel Stevens, Kelly Ekardt, Jana Myers, Kendra O'Blenis, Bryan Stevens, Kurt, Josh, and Chase Smith, Elise, Kaihle, and Cody Sauder and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Neva Farrington, her sister Pamela Free and a baby daughter, Melissa.
Friends may call from 6 - 8 pm Friday, at the Lindsey-Kocher Funeral Home, Willard, OH. Services will be at 11 am on Saturday at the First Assembly of God, Willard, OH. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, OH.
