NORWALK - Nola I. Becker, 74, of Norwalk, died Wednesday afternoon in Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 3, 1932, in Grand Rapids, Mich. to the late George and Sylvia (Rickson) Erhart and came to this area in 1955 from Tucson, Ariz.
She was the bookkeeper of the Becker Potato Chip Company in Norwalk for 40 years. She was a member of the Norwalk First United Methodist Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a 50-year and founding member of the Canasta Club in Norwalk. She was well known for the crafts and displayed them in several area business offices at Christmas time and also had a display in the Liberace Museum in Las Vegas. She and her husband enjoyed visiting Casino's across the country.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard E. "Dick" Becker of Norwalk; sons and daughter-in-law, Gary A. Becker of Kansas City, Mo. and Larry E. and Marilyn Becker of Norwalk; a daughter, Linda M. Becker of Sandusky; three grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Eloise Erhart of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Arlene Erhart of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Erhart.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, 60 W. Main St., Norwalk. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the church. The Rev. Dr. Roger Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk.
