NEW LONDON Edna Bowling, 73, of New London, died Friday, at her home after a short illness.
She was born May 27, 1933 in Maytown, Ky., daughter of the late Maynard and Mary (Griffith) Dudley. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Harold L. Bowling, whom she married April 23, 1955 in Norwalk; sons and a daughter-in-law, David Bowling and Dee and Rita Bowling, all of New London; daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Mike Stratton of New Haven, Ind., Delores and Jim Midolo of New London, Daisy and Don Ward of Monroeville and Del Bowling of New London; 14 grandchildren and eigth great-grandchildren; twin sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Harold Barker of Lagrange; and a sister and brother-in-law, Fay and Roger Meade of New London.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Rachel Dawn Ward, her stepmother, Delcie Dudley; and sisters, Elsie and Mae Dudley.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London, where funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Charles Mead officiating.
Burial will follow in Grove Street Cemetery in New London.
