DAYTON — Lawrence Albert "Larry" Kindig, 51, of Dayton and formerly of Lorain and Norwalk, died Tuesday in Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, after a brief illness.
He was born June 13, 1955 in Lorain. He moved to Norwalk in 1983 and graduated from the GED course in 1991 and moved to Dayton in 1994 where he lived until the time of his death.
He enjoyed puzzles, reading, watching movies and was a fan of the Bee Gee's. He collected coins, roadrunner memorabilia and was an avid scrabble player. He was a member of the Norwalk Alliance Church, Norwalk.
He is survived by his brothers, Randy of Manchester, Tenn. and Michael of Elyria; an aunt, Dorothy Manack of Cleveland; and best friend and former wife, Brenda Kinnard of Milan; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Neal A. Kindig on Oct. 15, 2000 and Patricia A. Kindig on July 15, 2002; a sister-in-law, Donna Kindig in 2002; and an infant brother, Charles A. Kindig.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Norwalk Alliance Church, 2755 U.S. 250 S., Norwalk.
