DALLAS -- The Civil Air Patrol continued its search today for a small, hand-built airplane flown by a man returning from Ohio. The plane, flown by Charles Miller of Georgetown, Texas, disappeared Thursday after refueling in southern Arkansas. Miller had flown to Norwalk earlier this month to attend last weekend's Norwalk Public Schools Annual Alumni Reunion and visit with relatives, said Philip Vaughn, a family friend from Reynoldsburg.

Edward J. Still is remembered by one of his daughters as "a very proud American' who was "very loyal to Norwalk.' "He could have been buried in Arlington National Cemetery, but he chose to be buried in Norwalk because that's where his life was,' said one of his daughters, Bonnie Hicks, of Fayetteville, N.C.

Huron County's employment picture continues to improve in comparison with other counties in Ohio. While still higher than the state and national averages, Huron County's jobless rate of 12.4 for July ranks it 20th among Ohio's 88 counties, a marked improvement over the past year and a half. The latest statistics were released this morning by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS).
