A local teenager was cited in a three-vehicle accident Tuesday that sent a Milan woman to a hospital.
Zane D. Conney, 16, of 4496 Whittlesey Ave., was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance, being a juvenile traffic offender and a license restriction.
“He only had driving restrictions to and from school or with a parent,” Huron County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Ted Patrick said.
About 12:15 p.m., Conney was southbound on U.S. 250 in a GMC Sierra.
“He rear-ended a Honda Accord,” Patrick said about the car driven by Alpha H. Ames, 75, of 4003 E. Ohio 113, Milan. “The Conney vehicle hit the rear of Ames’ vehicle.”
