The weather was perfect on Saturday for some indoor motor sports. Racers from three states were at HMS Speedways & Hobbies in downtown Bellevue that day to race their slot cars on the King track in the Ohio Retro Series. The event saw 25 racers from three states participate on the track, one of the largest in the Midwest at 155 ft. in length with a record time of 4.52 seconds having been posted on it. Two more races are coming up at the venue when flexi slot cars are featured in the Ohio Challenge Cup on January 21st and then the Buckeye Retro Series will be contested on February 4th. For more information on these races, or open racing from 5:30 to 9 pm on Wednesdays or Sundays from noon to 5 pm, call Cap Henry at 419-217-9413, or Kit Henry at 419-217-0685.  Enjoy these pictures of the racing taken by Reflector photographer Richard Russell.
