MILAN — The Ohio State Highway Patrol and turnpike held a dedication ceremony for a sign in honor of Trooper Robert Perez Jr. today — also National Peace Officers Memorial Day. Perez died exactly 18 years ago, three days after his cruiser was hit from behind by a minivan going 83 mph. Look for a story soon by reporter Cary Ashby, who took these photos of the dedication program at the Milan post of the state Highway Patrol.
