Reflector Photos by Joe Centers
If it were me and my home had burned up and on top of that I lost my pet or any member of my family, I would have a real difficult time of not throwing a stone through the camera lens of the Norwalk Reflector photographer at the scene.
Come on, NR, give this lady a break and stop being so damn intrusive. Let her and other victims of circumstance have some dignity.
@Hoosier: Remember that this is the Reflector you are talking about. The enquirer has better moral values than this "publication"-and if the "person" in charge doesn't like your comment-he just removes your comment
It is news. The Norwalk Reflector reports it. Why is that so hard to understand? Do you want a newspaper so you know the news? If so, here you go. If not, don't read it online or buy it.
News reporting would be reporting that there was a fire at an apartment complex, maybe showing a photo or two. NOT showing a lady that is in shock, distress, and possibly now homeless along with the photographer being the face of a dying kitten. Why is THAT so hard to understand!?!?!?
I could not agree more! Report that there's a fire, yes. Show pictures of that poor lady and kitty, completely not necessary!! Thoughts and prayers to that poor woman who lost her belongings and precious kitty!
I agree as well.
Sorry for your loss dear.
Life changing when this happens.
OHIOHOOSIER76,& nikfrog, I agree with both of you..This lady just lost her home & a beloved pet..She will remember this for the rest of her life..Certain pictures weren't necessary..Sorry NR, either you show the same pic several times or you show disrespect to someone grieving..Put yourself in these peoples position, would you want to be done this way? Please rethink some of your ways of reporting..
this was my neighbor, please prey for her in her time of need..... i appreciate it
Does she have anything left? Does she need clothes? I'm assuming she needs furniture from the looks of the photos. I may have a connection to get her clothes.
Prayer for her. How tragic
LETS ALL PITCH IN AND HELP THIS LADY!
I think that as hard as it is to look at this devastated woman, and at such a tragic time, I believe that by publishing these seemingly intrusive pictures of her dealing with the devastation
, might be the only way of tapping into the hearts and wallets, and closets of a community, to see what they might be able to help her. Sadly, too often , people read the stories like this, and without that personal connection a lot of people will feel bad for her until they turn the page..Once you see her, and possibly remember all the times you have seen her walking around town, you rekindle that personal connection and awareness in yourself and feel her pain and loss personally and because of that, you are more willing to help her. I also dop struggle when I first see pictures on stories like this, then I realize that it is exactly these disturbing pictures that make me reach into my wallet and closet and re=think how much of my possessions are more of an emotional connection, than my actual need to keep them, and then allows me to part with them at a time like this to help a fellow citizen, and in that act of giving, it gives me much more enjoyment, than just knowing that I have it hanging in my closet,
