If he had waited a year he might have been OK.
Must have been a slow day for Monroeville police. Hahaha give me a break. Bust someone who's actually doing harm.

Really with all the heroin problems in that direction you bust a kid with a couple of pot plants??? How much did the investigation and the actual bust monetarily cost the city versus this kid smoking a little dope?
The sad thing he will get more time in jail than the junkies that get caught with herion .
I remember back when I was a kid and lived with my grandma and grandpa with my uncle Vernon in the hills west of Nashville Tennessee. He was carrying the tradition of the Cathey families 30 gallons a week moonshine production. The still was a copper cooker, tubes, barrels, and all in a 10 by 10 by 4 and ½ foot deep hole cut out by Vernon, Clyde, and uncle George with the ground covered with tin, dirt and honeysuckle plants. You could only see it coming up the hill because the spot where the still was appeared to be a bit flat. You could also find it if you wondered why there was all these scratched out holes where he buried the used mash only to feed the Racoons. One day a Chinese guy came by the house and wanted to buy some. Never had a Chinese guy come by grandma’s house to buy shine. I actually don't guess they ever even saw a Chinese guy. Grandma probably thought he was from Japan and therefore didn't like him. she didn't like much anyway. Hated them danged Yankees but thought John F. Kennedy was the best President ever. Most of the bootleggers were African Americans out of Franklin and came after midnight. So this guy makes a deal with my uncle…a one pound coffee can half filled with pot seeds for 2 gallons of moonshine. Now my uncle was a Merle Haggard "we don't smoke marijuana inn Muskogee" fan and hated hippies and sandal wearing softies. Couldn’t believe he took the deal to grow pot. So Vernon goes to the banks of the Harpeth River and plants these seeds while on a pretend catfish spearing trip. Nervously we went to watch them grow while also taking the fishing poles along to fish, and after a long while, when the pot plants started to have these pods on them, he realized they were Okra plants. He was pretty mad, and somehow probably relieved. That’s all I know about growing pot.
I read your story and I would like to have that 3 minutes back.
cute story, tell us more, made me smile, thanks
well this sucks
Drugs are Drugs! and this whole family is trash! About time they get busted for something! His mommy will probably say he did nothing wrong and what a good kid he is, just like she said when his brother was in trouble for stealing copper!
Generally, the comment: "he got in with the wrong crowd" line is added here, too.
If you say this is OK the next thing you know the kids at The high schools are buying
Heroin from the same guy maybe your kid is that OK
Have some respect for our police that risk there life everyday to save your kids
How about that
Having respect for the police is like having a snake for a pet. You learn more about fear than respect, eventually stop liking it and only go near it when you have to. Also are you seriously saying marijuana and herion are comparable? Apples to oranges. Do some research please and educate yourself. I'm not saying you have to like or agree with anyone, just educate yourself some more on the matter.
just wondering what world you live in.
Those 3 shabby looking pot plants probably just cost the county thousands of dollars. Money was obviously spent for an investigation to take place that led to his arrest. That consisted of numerous police hours collecting evidence, a judge having to sign a warrent and the procescutor preparing charges. Then the whole legal system takes over and this guy starts his new life paying for nothing at the Huron County jail. When everything is said and done I bet more money is spent on this victimless crime ( that will probably be legal on some level in Ohio soon ) then the pot plants are worth. I just don't see how the ends justify the means here.
Wow imagine that...Monroeville police working a big crime scene ( being sarcastic) instead of setting up stupid speed traps. This is a big joke, busting a guy with a couple of plants. Maybe you could use some fat chicks in town to do a undercover sting and catch all the lot lizard (hooskers who like truckers) in town.
Eddie Blair is a drug addict thief that steals from his nieghbors and friends and anyone else. He has been in prison for drugs and theft and since he has gotten out about 6 months ago, he has stolen from his grandmas nieghbors, friends of his have tried to rob the people across the street from his grandma. Fannie Blair (grandma) lets him do as he pleases and lets him stay there and deal drugs. Her house has been raided, they just picked up someone there Friday evening and it is just a place where no one can be trusted. All the people that go there are thieves or liers or a long list of trash. They need to put Eddie back in prison and all his buddies too. A pimp would be a step up for this piece of trash. The Spring Streeters have started a "Street Watch" now because he has ruined a nice place to live. The Blairs just need to move. I don't think it's right that my friends should have to leave because of low lives such as these.
Remember this when you are asked for a property tax hike. Waste of police resources. A police raid for pot plants? Really?
@ taffey, "drugs are drugs" is the EXACT reason people are into heroin, meth, etc. We teach our children that someone who works full time, pays their bills, is a contributing member to society, but smokes a joint after work without bothering a soul is the same as the heroin junkie thief who cant hold a job to save his life and hasn't seen his kids in months is the same. Yep, you're right. And the D.A.R.E. program is working wonders as well
