The Perrin Road fire, which was under control in 15 or 20 minutes, happened Tuesday afternoon near Gibbs Road and covered a couple hundred yards by about 100 yards.
“We’ve been here 45 minutes or so,” Capt. Dan Hunt said. While fighting the winds, which were about 15 mph, “wasn’t too bad,” he noted green vegetation burns easily this time of year. “Spring is always a dangerous time of year to burn,” Hunt said.
Firefighters left the scene about 2:50 p.m.
