Celebration caps fundraiser at League Elementary on Friday.

League Elementary participated in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s “Pennies for Patients” and raised $763.85. The first- and second-place donating classrooms got to send a representative to put a pie in the face of Principal Adam Kreischer and custodian Gary Peterson. Fourth-graders Douglas Ortner and Gabe Blair earned the honors. Enjoy these pictures taken by Jeff Van Natta.

This was a great fundraiser. My daughter just asked family and friends for all of the loose pennies they had laying around!
