Miss Maple City 2013 contestants

Ten young women will compete on Saturday for the title of Miss Maple City 2013. The Miss Maple City 2013 Scholarship Program, sponsored by The Maple City Ice Co. of Norwalk, will be held at 7 p.m. at Main Street School. A preview story, with bios of the contestants, will be published Thursday in the Reflector. Here are pictures of the 10 contestants.

I guess if these girls want to think that there only good traits is their beauty, (which was a concept that I thought we left back in the 1950's) but please , I do not think it is a good thing to involve the "lil sis's" these little girls will get set on the familiar path of beauty being the most important thing for them which breeds anorexia, and weight issues, and doubting their self worth , and confusing their self worth for their self image.... I think it is a dangerous and out dated way to think, and I wish the parents of these kids would think it all the way through..... what do you think the "honey boo boo show'' is trying to show the world??????
