The Romney-Ryan campaign bus stopped in Norwalk this afternoon as part of an effort to encourage early voting. Enjoy these pictures of the event.
Sorry that I could not be there. Had to go to Kentucky to buy a pair of Glen Beck jeans. Only $129.00. What a bargin!
What a shocker .....no minorities, I'm sure that just a happy accident.
All they had to do is call up the Obama campaign and Im sure they could of worked out a deal to loan some of their "photo op" minorities.
Thank you I was unaware Obama "loans" out minorities for photo-ops. Really? So your saying the only way to interact with minorities would be by contacting the President?
Forgot.....the oldster in the 2nd photo accurately represents what the GOP is about.
just because you took 34 pictures does not mean to have to post 34 pictures.
Don't see Romney or Ryan. Guess they figure in small towns, people will be just as excited to sit on a bus that says Romney/Ryan on the outside. Looks like it worked.
lol...what a joke..what was it suppose to prove..?
What was this suppose to prove??
Obama-Biden sends an RV and Romney-Ryan sends a bus.
Obama-Biden send a boring muppet and Romney-Ryan sends one of the children.
Looks like R-R is outspending O-B for vote gettin' in Huron Co.
Is is possible Romney-Munster have more money to spend on such things?.
Have been in a Monestary in Tibet. Hope to be back among you soon. Thank you for asking about me. All is well at the Litterbox. Carry on ole chap, I am counting on you and CliFF to hold down the phort. Kat
Don't look like a bunch of happy campers. Glad they kept going!
I see white people!
white is rite dawgs!!!
@ 44846 GWP Point being ? Personally,I want to be like actor Morgan Freeman and just see people. Not white, black, brown, red nor yellow people.Just people. After all aren't those the colors of people's the American President represents? Fearing you to be a rascist, again I ask, what's your point?
cliFf.... yes you did miss the point... the point is that usually, just llike in these pictures , when you see pictures of the Republican party, you rarely see any Blacks, or Hispanics in the group... that is an observation that MANY people have made, and it is sadly getting to be the truth... 44846 is NOT a racist for pointing that out... but it seems like the Republican party might not be able to make the same claim...I believe that many of the "Colorful" people are in the makeup of the 47% that their candidate clearly says that it is his job to ignore...
Yes Swiss, that is exactly what I meant.
@44846GWP: I apologize for my hate filled stalking troll ruining what could've been a good debate between us. Stupidly,I thought he really was going to debate the topic this time, rather than slander me, once again.
As I wrote in my "P.S." I do not think your a racist. However, obviously,I thought your comment was a good chance to make a point about racism directed towards white people. Which of course, usually get's laughed oFF or brushed aside, would you agree?
Again,I apologize for having a hateful stalking troll to ruin our debate
P.S. A few years ago, some black children were line at Cedar Point next to me.One young lady wore a shirt with Dr. Kings " I have a dream " speech printed on it.
Being, a MLK buFF I walked the kids through some of the highpoints of his life. Of course,Mahallia Jackson's role in " I have a dream" was central to my comments.
We get up to the ride. So I ask the kids if they learned anything new.The girl in the shirt said yea," Don't wear my sisters' shirt anymore" then a young man cracked; " don't talk to crazy white guys" Now that is a racial joke I still laugh at.
Cliff, For one my comment was a play off of the movie Sixth sense (I see daed people), yes it was a joke, not racist in any way (I'm white). You can read what Swiss wrote, and thats exactly what I meant. I am in no way a racist, my political and personal "hero's" are John, Robert, and yes, Ted Kennedy, and Martin L. King Jr. I once wore a t-shirt to Cedar Point that just had a picture of JFK on it and I received nice comments all day long from people, young and old. Not any big deal but made me feel good. I must admit I don't always agree with you, but you have more of an open mind than Winnie does. Good day!
@44846GWP : Can not thank you enough for your reply. Again to be totally repetitive ---I do not think for a single moment your a racist.Rather,I think your a darn good man who truly cares and what more can one be?
It is a dang shame I am stuck with a hatefull,spitefull,wannabee--- never will be, troll who ruins what could be deep and meaningful debates.Yet,such is life.Sadly, when a potentialy great debate like what we could have had occurs. He pops up like an unwelcome relative you would rather forget.
I too love the Kennedy's. ( Actually, worship RFK,but that's another story) So no doubt,we both learned much of our altrusim from them. Having the same hero's probably gives us more in common, than not
Yet,here's hoping we disagree often. Because as the cliche states;"When two people are too much alike, one of them is useless" So let us always teach one another in our diFFerences. Yet, know when I disagree with you, it is with the utmost respect as I find you a man of deep integrity.
Please accept my apology for any misunderstanding this debate caused. Thanks again for your kind reply.
P.S. A J.F.K. t-shirt ? You luck bag
Gotta wear a picture of a wealthy Kennedy crime family member to make yourself feel important?
JFK and Teddy were known philanderers.
Bobby was JFK's AG??? No possibility of corruption with that kind of nepotism eh? :)
Who told you that you had an "open mind"? Was it the MSNBC videos which only tell 'truthful' propaganda? LMAO!!!!
@ Contango: Sometimes you read like " Mikey" You know he who doesn't like anything.
As I said before,I love JFK and worship RFK. ( Teddy was a Kennedy,so...) However,I am not blind to the dark side of the Kennedy's either. Try this one: August 23,1956 Jackie has a stillborn baby. And where was her loving husband? In France vacationing with Daddy and licking his wounds from losing the V.P. nomination a few weeks earlier. So how terrible is that?
Still, for someone like myself who grew up memorizing JFK's speeches as well as reading everything "Kennedy" he could get his hands on.The bad stuFF never came through. Why ? Simply because impressionable kids don't understand "politics" nor manipulation nor 'spins'. All kids hear are the words and few, if any, ever spoke better, more inspiring words than JFK
So obviously, he inspired countless millions of young Americans into altruisitic actions. Not only that picture todays candidates saying "The New Frontier of which I speak,is not a set of promises,it is a set of challenges" Then correct me if I am wrong but Americans love challenges. Americans want to hear " Ask not....." Yet all we get is "I will give you this... So no wonder we miss JFK.
If you have a moment go on 'you-tube' and listen to Teddy's eulogy for RFK. Again, put your mind set into that of an impressionable child, not the political savvy cynic.
Then perhaps, you'll understand why millions of people like myself remain "Bobby's people" For in that eulogy you will find a life worth striving for ( At least I did) You will also understand, why my kids grew up with RFK's campaign poster on our frig, rather than their pictures. Or why today the centerpiece of our curio cabinet is not a family heirloom, rather it is Bobby's picture
Sooner or later new/old friend you are going to find the 'perfect' leader, you crave. However, please don't hold your breath till then, because I'd hate to lose you
I put my 'faith' in no politico. I despise hero worship and any taint of a cult of personality.
For one: How much low-income housing is there on the Kennedy crime family's compound?
The Kennedys used the Mafia and others like the Teamsters in order to get elected and then threw them over the side once they were in.
I always enjoyed the exchange between RFK and Jimmy Hoffa. Hoffa put the upstart yuppie in his place.
The Kennedys were/are a bunch of wealthy hypocritical users.
There are still people in Russia who wish for the 'good old days' under Stalin - go figure.
I see that Sen. McGovern died. He was the first and last Dem presidential candidate that I voted for.
@ Contango: I am a major Thomas Jefferson fan.One night T.J. goes over to Alexender Hamilton's home in an eFFort to resolve one of America's most famous feuds.
T.J. ask's Hamilton to name his favorite hero's. Hamilton wants to think about it. So T.J. goes first naming Newton,Bacon and Locke.Hamilton then says Caesar is his man. T.J. knew from that moment on the feud would never end. For he loved the peaceful thinkers while Hamilton loved the warring, manipulating, conqueror. In short, their hero's had defined them.
And isn't that point of hero's to define us as well as give us something to aspire too? So how can anyone live with out hero's ? That is why, with you being a 'his-story' major it stunned me to read you "despise hero worship" Personally, 'hero's' are what draws me to history and I never tire of reading about them. So, may I ask what drew to you to love history?
Given the vast amount of information available on the Kennedy's. What bad deed they ever did is not known? How about J.F.K.'s miserible performance in the Vienna summit. Kruschev ( sp.) thought him weak,so started putting missiles in Cuba. And think of how that could've turned out?
Yet, what President hasn't blown it on occasion? Or what President hasn't made deals with anyone who would help them to get elected? Obviously, their death's were great career moves as they became instant legends, incapable of doing wrong. But so what ? Doesn't mankind crave legends?
You ought to listen to R.F.K.'s eulogy my friend. It truly is a beautiful work of art that defines what man can do if he really tries.Proudly,I hero worship RFK because of it.
Here's hoping you spill the beans and tell who your great hero is.Because, like it or not your no diFFerent than Jefferson or Hamilton---your hero's will define you
