Huron County construction report

Here is the ODOT District 3 Weekly Construction Report for the week of Aug. 26

HURON COUNTY

U.S. 20: slide repair

U.S. 20 eastbound, just east of the U.S. 250 exit ramp on the Norwalk bypass, will have a single lane closure for slide repair work. Crews will begin construction for the retaining wall along U.S. 20. The project is expected to be completed by October.

U.S. 20: resurfacing

U.S. 20, west of the village of Wakeman to the Lorain County line, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a resurfacing project and structure repairs. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be completed in October.

U.S. 20: reactive maintenance

U.S. 20, south of Ohio 18, will have intermittent lane closures for culvert reconstruction and repair work. The project is expected to be completed in September .

U.S.  20: bridge repair

US 20, at the structure over the Vermillion River, in the Village of Wakeman, will have reduced lane widths and traffic shifted to complete bridge repair work. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained. The project is expected to be complete October 2019.

Ohio 99 ***NEW***

Ohio 99, between Egypt Road and Townline Road 12 W., will close Monday for culvert repairs. The detour route for northbound motorists is Ohio 99 to Ohio 103, east on Ohio 103 to Ohio 61, north on Ohio 61 to Ohio 162, west on Ohio 162 to Ohio 99, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen Friday.

U.S. 224

U.S. 224, between Park Dr. and Orchard Street, is closed for a bridge repair project. The detour route for eastbound motorists is U.S. 224 to Ohio 61, north on Ohio 61 to Ohio 162, east on Ohio 162 to Ohio 13, south on Ohio 13 to U.S. 224, and reverse for westbound motorists. The road is expected to be reopened Nov. 8.
