Jim Tressel and Robert E. Lee might not appear to have anything in common. That is, until you talk to Dr. Allen R. Bohl, an author, long-time athletic director and a current adjunct professor who will speak in Norwalk next month.
According to the Vermilion native and St. Augustine, Fla. resident, the Ohio State football coach and the late Confederate leader possess a moral compass a mental guide to lead people through life. Bohl will reflect on his career in college athletics and the process of building a moral compass.
One can build such a compass by participating in school sports, on or off the field, Bohl said.
