Woman who allegedly punched Norwalk cop is set free

A Norwalk woman accused of punching a cop at a nursing home has been release from jail on a promise that she will return for her next court hearing.

Bethany M. Aiello, 23, of 26 Spring St., Apt. A8, pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Huron County Common Pleas Court to felony assault in connection with a Jan. 8 incident. If convicted, Aiello faces six to 18 months behind bars and a maximum fine of $5,000.

As part of her personal recognizance bond, Aiello is prohibited from having any direct or indirect association or communication with two male relatives and another male subject and from being on the Gaymont premises.
