Trio of women arrested in area burglaries
Feb 08
2012
Three local women were taken to jail this week in connection with a series of burglaries in the same apartment complex where they live.
During the investigation, Bellevue police received information from a suspect's ex-boyfriend and a person who drove two of the suspects to sell the stolen electronic equipment in Sandusky and Bellevue.
A Steeplechase Avenue resident reported returning home Jan. 12 and determined someone broke into her apartment. She had been arrested on an unspecified warrant and was in the Seneca County Jail.
The victim -- also the complex manager -- told police her door had been locked, "but it appeared someone came in through her first-floor kitchen window that she had left unlocked," police said.
Her PlayStation (PS) 3, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DSI video game systems, six video games, several rings and "Green Hornet" Blu-ray were missing.
That same day, another apartment resident reported coming home and finding that someone had knocked over a Christmas tree and broke the vanity mirror and several items in her bathroom. Her PlayStation 2 system and a VCR/DVD player were missing.
Agents with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCI&I) were dispatched and processed both crime scenes.
The agents reported lifting some handprints and footprints, many of which they considered "good, usable prints," specifically from around the manager's window. Police also said the BCI&I agents retrieved a shoe print from some papers on the kitchen floor.
Four days after the break-ins were reported, another Steeplechase resident told an officer he retrieved several stolen DVDs from under the couch at his ex-girlfriend's apartment. According to the report, he said Tiffany Alltop, 32, of 400 Steeplechase Ave. Apt. E, Bellevue, had been selling the electronic equipment to random people and game stores in Bellevue and Sandusky.
Police logged in the DVDs as evidence, but officers were unable to identify any of the stolen items at the stores in question.
On Jan. 17, two sisters later identified to be Alltop's accomplices, Fallon N. Geiger, 27, and Lyndslee E. Geiger, 24, both of 400 Steeplechase Ave. Apt. D, Bellevue, came to the police station.
Fallon said Alltop came to their apartment Jan. 9 with two TV sets and a PS 3 system, "wanting to find someone to buy (them)," according to the report. The Geiger sisters reported they arranged for Alltop to sell the items to a Sandusky man one of the sisters knew and for someone to take them to the Star Lanes bowling alley in Sandusky.
Police interviewed the driver Jan. 20, who admitted he took all three suspects to Star Lanes and a Bellevue game store. He said he saw the girls load some items into his van, but he wasn't sure what they were and it appeared they took some CDs or video games into the Bellevue store.
Also on Jan. 20, officers interviewed the Sandusky man who said he bought a PS 3 system and TV from Alltop for $150.
On Jan. 11 -- one day after the trips with the driver, BCI&I agents were in the apartment complex where the suspects live.
Alltop came to the Geiger sisters' apartment "freaked out, saying that she was going to jail" because she admitted she "did the burglaries and stole the stuff," according to the police report.
At 2:13 p.m. Sunday, a Steeplechase Avenue resident accused Alltop of stealing money from him and said she was still in the apartment. Police determined Alltop was wanted on an unspecified Champaign County warrant and transported her to the station.
Officers arrested Alltop and the Geiger sisters Sunday afternoon.
Alltop was charged with forgery, theft, identity fraud, petty theft, burglary and receiving stolen property. She also was arrested on two contempt of court warrants. Alltop must post 10 percent of a $46,000 bond before being released from the Huron County Jail.
Also in jail are Fallon and Lyndslee Geiger on theft and burglary charges. Lyndslee Geiger also was charged with receiving stolen property. She must post 10 percent of a $37,000 bond while her sister's bail is 10 percent of a $67,000 bond.

To all of you saying that all these young ladies need is help for their addiction, riddle me this... Is it possible to help someone who doesnt want to get better? It seems to me that a person has to genuinely want to better themselves to overcome an addiction. Knowing these girls personally I can honestly say that they have never shown any signs of wanting to better themselves.. Lyndslee for instance, hasnt had a steady job in over a year. Who knows when the last time Fallon had a job was lol..They were both more than content to use and abuse my tax dollars, all the while only concerned with how they could score another Opana.. Not to mention the fact that they would sell the foodstamps that they should have been using for their children to support their habit as well as any child support money they recieved.. And Lord knows they were living in goverment subsidized housing, probably paying about $10 a month for rent. And after they bled Uncle Sam dry they resorted to theft. Lyndslee has been charged with shoplifting a half dozen times in the past year for stealing from local businesses. In fact shes banned from every WalMart in the country for getting caught stealing there multiple times. Lie, cheat, steal..I would think it would have been a wake up call to Fallon when she gave birth to a mentally challenged child because she was using the whole time she was pregnant. I cant imagine the kind of guilt I would feel if I forever altered another human beings life due to my own selfishness.. If thats not enough to make you want to change your ways and get sober I hardly think 30 days in rehab is going to do the trick.12:10 AM

Yes it is and it was also declared a chronic brain disorder here recently to boot. These people don't know what they're talking about. Most of the time, people spend their time talking about stuff they don't know about for some reason anyway. I think it's because someone that they look up to or idolize said something similar and they just follow the pack v.s. studying and educating ones self instead.03:41 PM

It is a choice, not a disease. You choose to put yourself into the situation of drugs, you choose to take the drug, and you choose to beg, borrow or steal to get more of the drug.06:32 PM

Steady, Addiction is not a choice. Trust me, those of us that are in fact, educated and eager to learn even more about this disease, wish for nothing more than it to simply be a choice. Addiction is a disease, a disease that cannot be cured, but can be arrested with proper help and self will, but unfortunately, when this isn't done, it does what most diseases do, it progresses over time. Meaning, it intensifies and most do not hold the capability or awareness it takes to get a hold on it before it's holding you. Kind of like when someone you see each and every day, loses weight. Sometimes those of us that live with them don't notice because it's "happening" gradually, right before our very eyes. But, when we run into an "outsider" or someone we haven't seen in a while and see their reaction to the weight loss, suddenly we notice. That was just an example and I would appreciate if it weren't taken out of context. Also, I'd like to say that you do "choose" to take that drug for the first time, you're right. But, many that do pick up for the first time, never turn back, however, those that were BORN with the DISEASE of ADDICTION, simply cannot. It isn't that simple, but in a perfect world, what you say would be lovely. If you're interested at all, just recently scientists cancelled out the old theory, turned fact, out and now consider Addiction: A Chronic Brain Disorder v.s. A Disease Look, you do not have to take my word for it. Simply do the foot work on your own and you will find that you're good to go when it comes to replacing your old/false facts with current/actual facts instead. Why not right? I think it is up to us as individuals, to educate ourselves beyond the classroom and work facility as opposed to just "taking __________ 's word for it". There is no such thing as public opinion, only published opinion. Which is a tragedy within itself, but in this case, it isn't only published opinion, it's a scientific fact. Back in the 1960's there was much controversy over Addiction being a disease or just a choice. So they put the theory to rest by doing a study. They used bodies from Houston, TX of those who had died due to an overdose. They removed the top part of the brain and what they found inside was something similar in size to an M&M. They removed them, and please forgive me for not knowing the proper label on this so called M&M. It's a really long word that begins with a "T". Anyway, they removed the object that can only be found in an addicts brain post mortem and put them into the brains of white mice. Now, if you know anything about white mice, they will not go near alcohol. In fact, they're somewhat notorious for that in the scientific field. So they then placed the mice into a cage. They put Vodka on one end and Water on the other. All of the mice literally drank themselves to death off the Vodka, in a matter of days. Never once touching the water, not even a sip. So it is a disease Steady and/or a chronic brain disorder and the proof is within your reach, but like many, you refuse to utilize it, and continue to walk around with a head full of perceptions and false facts. To each is his own I suppose.10:04 PM

Not to mention Huron County's piss poor community. Mainly Norwalk, Ohio. Come on, there's no way the citizens of Norwalk didn't notice what was happening years ago. If you didn't, then you're just as much a part of this disease as the rest are. Drugs have been around since before any of us being born was even an idea that was entertained. But, it's progressed at a very rapid rate, courtesy of Norwalk and all of those that "CHOSE" to turn their heads.06:46 PM

Yes, I said "courtesy of Norwalk" but I am aware that this isn't just an epidemic, but a pandemic as well. This is happening world wide people, not just in our four county area, although, our four county area has gained National Attention because apparently the sh_t is all over down around here. I target Norwalk because when I was in High School that's what the kids in High School over in Norwalk were getting into, heroin. While we may or may not have smoked a little pot or drank a couple beers. Norwalk is a dump and this isn't a current event. This is the end result of people and authorities, turning their heads, for a little over a decade now.07:31 AM

Sorry, but I have to laugh about some of the comments on here. Like the fact that being a druggie is a disease. COME ON!!!!!!! If you don't put it in your system in the first place, you wouldn't get addicted. People make a choice to "try it". Then if they like it, they go back for more. When you make a bad choice in your life you pay for it. I agree that the girls are pretty, but I sure wouldn't want to hang with them. Like I said, if you don't want to become addicted DON'T PUT IT IN YOUR SYSTEM in the first place. I have no sympathy for anyone who does. My sympathy goes to the victims of these girls.01:49 AM
llee4982 says
Who said that being a "druggie" is a disease? The disease would be addiction my dear. And no, no one was born with an addiction to anything specific, they were just born an addict. We know “addiction” doesn't occur in everyone, any more than diabetes occurs in everyone who eats too much sugar or food. It now appears that a person must "have what it takes" to become dependent on drugs. In many cases, genetics is the main risk factor for determining who develops the disease. Evolving research is demonstrating that “addicts” (people who are dependent according to DSM criteria) are not bad people who need to get good, crazy people who need to get sane, or stupid people who need education. Chemically-dependent people have a brain disease that goes beyond their use of drugs. Having said that, no one asked for your sympathy nor needs it. Just do you, ya know.10:54 AM

However I am pretty sure you can't "quit" diabetes. Lock them up and throw away the key, it's not like they would ever pay taxes anyways. LOL01:23 AM
llee4982 says
Yes I most certainly have and it wasn't someone in my family. It was me, myself and I. I never said it was impossible. In fact, I stated that the blessing that comes with the disease of addiction, is that it can be arrested.03:56 AM
llee4982 says
Seriously.. What is wrong with you people? I think most of you need to brush up on your false facts and/or perceptions, and replace them with actual facts instead, but that's just my opinion and it appears as if you all know it all already so I'm sure I'm wasting my time here. Never know though. Someone might gain a little knowledge due to this post. Good God, let's hope so. Replacing fiction with fact, definitely sounds like a brilliant idea to me, but I am addicted to facts. Not into the whole running around with a head filled with outdated garbage, but to each is his own. Anyway - ATTENTION TO ALL THAT THINK THEY GOT THIS SH_T MAPPED OUT - YOU DON'T! Addiction is a disease. An actual disease that you're born with. Not only that, but Addiction was recently declared a brain disorder, not a behavioral issue. However, you wouldn't find one article containing anything based on scientific fact and decades of research in a piss poor Weekly Reader aka The Norwalk Reflector, now would ya? Case and point is this folks.. Asking an addict to just stop, quit, knock it off, grow up, get over yourselves, put your children first, yada, yada, yada, and so on, is equivalent to an addict asking all of you, judgemental pieces of sh_ts to simply stop breathing or even eating. What is so hard about accepting this disease? You have no problem accepting the rest of them so what gives? The blessing that comes along with the disease of addiction, is the fact that it can be arrested, but that calls for some major footwork. Addiction is a triple headed disease my friends. Drugs, Emotions, and Behaviors. It's easy to put down the dope, trust me, I've been there before. But, like anything and everything, what lies beneath and the way we behave and have behaved for years/half a lifetime, is slightly difficult to change at a rapid rate. Old habbits die hard and a lot of the drug use is due to the fact that their sober minds cannot handle whatever it is that fuels their drug use. It's a lot like your perceptions and false facts. Ya can't just set them down can you? Finally, the Geiger girls are beautiful, smart, and still in there somewhere. (Couldn't help but notice the stupid sucker that had to mention Lyndsee's appearance in her mug shot. Wow! It's a f_ckin' mug shot ya whack job! If you seen her in person you'd be all over that. I don't care if you're a man or a woman because we all know you're lonely as f_ck since you're on here putting others down to make you and your situation appear all the more better.) They'll figure it out because of positive people like myself, educated individuals that provide help as opposed to the trash talk goin' on in here, and it sounds like they have a wonderful support system that may or may not be enabling them, but until you know what it's like first hand, lay off the enabler comments. Like I said, they'll figure it out. As for the rest of you closed minded mothernothin's.. it's not lookin' too promising. I mean, you read the Norwalk Reflector for Christ sakes. That's about as dumb as it gets. Eat that sh_t up though. Without hesitation at that. Why not? It's been force fed to you since birth and you're still goin' strong. Now that's a struggle in itself, but your struggle and/or struggles, don't hold a flame to Addiction and you can take that to the bank and deposit that. Put your two cents in and get a dollar back.03:15 PM

It's funny how u don't think its possible to just quit an addiction. I was addicted to alcohol for 3 years. I drank every night til I couldn't remember what the he ll happened the next morning. But guess what...I woke up one day and looked around and realized what I was doing was not only bad for me but also bad for my son. Yes I freely admit that I made mistakes that involved my son, but as I said, I woke up one day and realized that I was making mistakes. I quit drinking that day all on my own. No rehab, no family to help me, no support from anyone except my 4 year old son. Now I have learned to CONTROL myself when it comes to my addiction. I KNOW what alcohol does to me and I CHOOSE either not to drink it at all or to only have 1 drink. It's called SELF CONTROL. I hope that these ladies (and I use the term lightly) can figure out what self control is and use it. I have not been drunk in 3 years and I did it all on my own, so how is that for a disease that u are born with? U cannot cure a disease all on your own, at least not that I have ever seen. Addiction is a choice that is made. I chose to drink every day then I chose to stop because it was affecting not only me but my son. I was also addicted to cigarettes, which I also CHOSE to stop doing, so I guess I cured that disease too...I must really be a miracle worker!01:20 AM

You guys really know how to lay into a girl, don't ya? Listen, I myself am a recovering addict. Like I said in the other post, what I abused, the length of time I used, my struggle to get clean, and all I overcame, is beside the point. I am proud of you for overcoming your "dependence" by simply waking up one day and realizing the damage it was causing and simply quiting on your own. Don't you think any and every addict/alcoholic wishes it was that easy? A true, recovering alcoholic would never pick up, with or without, SELF CONTROL because when you suffer from the disease, not a three year dependence, of "alcoholism" that one drink could lead to their last. That's the rule of submitting to your addiction. "Don't pick up no matter what." In the 1960's, some of the greatest scientists did a study to finally end the dispute between addiction being a disease one is born with v.s. a choice that is simply made by each of us individually. If you know anything about white mice, then you know they despise alcohol. Well, lucky for our scientists, many bodies of those that were clinically pronounced dead due to overdosing, were donated for this study. When they dissected the brain in these addicts, they found that there appears to be a pathology of the frontal lobes associated with chemical dependence, and frontal lobes are were decision-making takes place in the brain. If there is a problem with the decision-making portion of the brain, can we say they have weak “will-power” when that portion of the brain is not working properly? This is an old notion that suggests recovery takes place in "28-day inpatient treatment centers" or whatever. We have always known that twelve-step programs are a lifetime commitment, and this is why we use the word “recovering” rather than “recovered”. More modern treatment is taking the attitude that dependence and addiction are a chronic medical illness that requires longer treatment and lifetime monitoring. P.S. You need to relax, really you do. Having said that, Alcoholics can drink socially? There are a few scientific studies that suggest this. But most of these studies look at “problem drinkers”, and do not satisfactorily differentiate between “intentional alcohol abusers” and “pathological alcohol dependence”. “Abusers” can drink socially (that is, under control), whereas truly dependent individuals cannot. The obvious question to ask is “What is the logical reason why someone whose life has been devastated by alcohol wish to drink socially?”03:39 PM

So using your "educated", "positive minded" thought process, since you are telling me people are born with a brain disorder, what you are saying is that due to indians having such a high incident rate with alcoholism they were born addicted to alcohol, odd they didn't have whiskey till the when....like when the settlers came?! So choice has no play in what a person becomes or how one behaves, "Hey I have a brain disorder that says I'm going to be a opaite addict". How about we say they are weak instead, easily manipulated, OCD, Type A personality or anyother label we want to use to explain a persons negative lifestyle. I feel that giving someone an excuse for why they behave a certain way is counter productive. I cannot control what you think/know/don't know/ and what you know you don't know. But, I'm certainly not going to feed into your mocking me, your laughter, your obvious amusement, and last, but certainly not least your ill mannered direct insults. Look LookingDown, I am a recovering drug addict. What I used, abused, how much or how little, my length of sobriety, and what I have overcome, is beside the point. The fact of the matter is this. I struggle with this sh*t every single day my friend. It's not easy, but it's worth it. I was merely using "diabetes" as an example. I didn't mean for it to be taken out of context. I was only using it in comparison because it is something that just doesn't go away. Much like addiction. I also wanted to say to all of you. How about we do our best to be kind from this point on. You know, it's not always about forgetting and forgiving. It's about doing our very best, as individuals, to simply understand or do our best to understand others. Everyone is a victim in some way and not everyone uses, but some hold "dirty laundry" that progresses mindlessly, along with our disease, while we so carefully cover it up by using occasionally, but soon it becomes so clear and dark that you cannot face it daily anymore. Not sober anyway. We use to escape and the only way to escape the addiction in the end. Is when the drugs are no longer enough to make the pain temporarily go away. I don't know, maybe I am different, but I want what's best for everyone. I sincerely mean that. I believe there is a little bit of light in each and every one of us. No one is considered garbage in my eyes. Everyone counts. That's just the way I am and for me, it's just a shame that it seems no one has anything nice to say about anyone at all anymore. Now, I'm not in anyway condoning what these girls did, but they're battling an intense addiction at the moment and I can "understand" why they fell into this behavior. It really just hurts my heart to see all of the negative things one feels they are entitled to say on a public site. For instance, I see a lot of posts mentioning the children these girls have. What kind of effect would one day, seeing, hearing and/or reading threads of this nature about their mothers have on these poor innocent children? I just propose that it's time to stay civil and maybe even learn from one another v.s. what we've been doing since Norwalk Reflector started this. I mean, you cannot continue doing the same old thing and expect a different end result. Anyway, I hope this clears things up a little between us. I do see where you were coming from and I stand corrected. However, my heart still and always will, go out to the addict that still struggles.06:45 AM

bigbootyjudy- Why would you suggest that they "learned the hard way". What have they learned? They were arrested. That doesn't mean they learned anything. It means they got caught. Don't you think Fallon should have learned when she gave birth to her first born, a precious baby boy that she forever altered his life because of drugs? Thank God for his dad and his family who is raising him and love him and do a wonderful job with him. It's amazing to me how people can get on here and stick up and defend pill heads and theives. No, no one is perfect. But I'm pretty sure most people aren't theives, pill heads, drug addicts, low life losers. I know for a fact I would never smoke, drink, or do drugs while pregnant. That alone makes me a 100 times better mom than her. She is a prime example of a woman who should be forced to be sterilized and other people should have custudy of her children. I do not know her parents. However, I agree to an extent with you. You can not place blame on parents ALL the time. Sometimes parents are great and their kids still mess their lives up. And sometimes parents are idoits and their children are raised to be worthless idiots too. I can't form that opinion because I do not know them though. But I know plenty to know that she is worthless, and she should be sterilized, and her children that she actually has custody of should be placed with a good family so they actually have a chance at a good life. Not to be worthless like her. Classy name by the way.10:49 AM
