Robert Tite would rather not demolish his Pleasant Street house because it holds sentimental value to him, he said.
Tite raised his children in the home while he ran the Wakeman Hardware Store years ago, he said.
The house is now vacant and the subject of a lawsuit pending in the Huron County Common Pleas Court. Village officials say the house at 21 Pleasant St. is in violation of the village's exterior maintenance ordinance in a number of ways.

Hey Reeeaaaally- drive by the Tite house, progress is being made! Slowly making repairs, just sad that it took a February 22nd court date to get him to finally start the long over due repairs. I'm not sure that his late start will keep him out of jail....the judge can decide that. For you-you felt my comments were out of line- that's your opinion. Bob said the house holds memories, I just ask that he use his own comment to fix the house then. Other comments made by you- did get "my view" on the unnecessary nature of most of what you say! So as in earlier comments you left for many, follow your own advise and stfu!! Oppps, for that I will apologize, stooping to your low level of language. Have a great day and hope you can find others to humor you in your little "comment war!" See- I'm done with you. You're reaaaaalllly not worth my time. I think I will spend more time on getting that Tite house fixed once and for all.04:20 PM

Your honestly going to have to do better than that ... finger pointing and name calling is hardly a proper proxy where your appology is required ! Then again, why would anyone expect proper behavior from you !? You've already proven you'll stoop to new lows to push your point. You've discraced the memory of the dead 2wice now ! Once on Ken... turning harmless stare and a wizecrack into him disrespecting his wife. Hardly ! And once on Tony ... you actualy had the gaul to challenge Bob to honor his sons memory ! And to serve your own pettie complaint ! You say I'm not to brite .... ha, I have values. Obviously you do not. Also I don't live with the dillusion that wakeman is a gated community ! Look over your own post , they speak for themselves. Leave the dude alone or move out ! Sounds like you'd be happier in a gated community anyhow ( or a loony bin , that would be better anyhow they prolly have your meds in stock ! )11:42 PM

Ok Reeeeaaaally-your not too bright.... it was YOU who told about Kenny's comments, you put him in a bad light...not me. He was a long standing member of the community who had served in many different organizations. You should not have shared your comments on what he did up town and that was the point I made- not trying to be cleaver but just letting you know-shame on you! I'm not pushy or vindictive, just call it as I see it! So as I see it-you are not capable of understanding most comments-you've been the one to actually attack persons for their comments, twisting and turning them. Seems you feel that everyone is picking on Bob and you are entitled to your opinion, just wish you had more facts than anger and would think alittle more about your comments before you make them and then attack others for responding to something that you post that has nothing to do with the issue of the Tite house condition. Why did you ever bring K up and make such a sad remark about him and comments on butts- actually the Mrs and nobody else for that fact needed to know what he did with his time up town and that's the point I made, nothing bad about him, just about how that comment from you was unnecessary. Read alittle slower and understand a little better before spouting off.12:00 AM

So, take a few of the boards from the place, or even some shingles and make something out of them to hang on your wall and get rid of the house. Unless you are wanting to have rats and things like that as pets. lol (just kidding)08:29 PM

Reeeeaaallllyyyy- Actually I was right- you don't live in the Village (you use too-probably when the house wasn't as bad as it is now) Anyway- we agree on 2 things- his old house needs some paint and let's sue the SOB! (your words) And further more- if you think he is being pushed around- it's only because he brought in on himself....he was asked and asked and asked, so now yes push has come to shove to get something done. And your remarks about Old Kenny- bet those make the Mrs. proud to know how her husband acted and talked up town. I want my memories to be that Wakeman was a nice clean town to grow up and live in....the Tite house is taking away from that memory. Living by or driving by such a eyesore when it doesn't have to be. It is nice to see how much you care about the Tite family- just wish you could talk to Bob and let him know that fixing the house will not only improve it for him.... it will get the village and courts off his back and that would be a heavy load he wouldn't have to worry about anymore. Fix it Builder Bob!! Do the right thing.09:20 PM

You've taken what I've said out of context ... what's that ? Your attemt at being clever ? FAIL ! If your as pushy, vindictive & spitefull in person as you've been on this comment board ... well since that's the case, you deserve the miserable world you've made for yourself. Not cool and way below the belt trying to drag Kenny Waldron thru the mud like that, that fella loved Marge dearly and otherwize never hurt a fly ... speaks volumes concerning your charachter ! Folks try and Ignore post that would even speak Ill of those that have passed on . Of course that's just (myview) =P10:33 AM

Hey reeeaaalllyyy- you are so angry over this...mayb Tite should offer to buy a few of the houses around the property, I bet one would certainly sell...tired of living next to his trash mess for no reason of than he likes to push the limits on what he should be doing as a responsible citizen. All he had to do was make reasonable repairs (exterior maintenance) and he would not be in the situation he is in today, facing possible jail time. Do you live in Wakeman? Probably not in the Village. I wish you would stop trashing on Village Oficials and Plolice Department- they are doing their job- keeping Wakeman a nice and safe place to live. He has only been asked to "repair" the home into a presentable condition. He has the options on how to do that but he has basically opted to do nothing. Shame on Bob....I'm beginning to wonder if he does all this "stupid stuff" just to get attention????? I'm betting he is very lonely at this time....if he could just change his ways I bet his whole life would change, he could become the man is was suppose to and could have been. Come on Bob make some changes and Reeeeeeaaaalllyyyy calm down!03:07 PM

I don't like seeing others being pushed around ! If your the neighbor why not act neighborly in lieu of making demands ? Your also quite mistaken I USED to live in town... grew up there. Have some great memories ... like seein old Kenny sittin on the bench in front of the hardware ( just to get a glimps at a any girls rear , then pop off with some wise crack ) . Or turning in the seasons kill at the hardware in hopes the polaroid would make the bullitin board . Mom bought us some baby chicks there just so we could see em grow . Who's to thank for the setting ??? Well whatever his name is ... his old house needs some paint . Let's sue that rotten S.O.B.?!07:27 AM

Enough is enough.... Mr.Tite has been requested for the last two+ years to make repairs, paint it, side it....just fix it, fix the windows, fix the front porch thatit is falling down and he has done nothing but let it get worse. He just needed to repair the outside where it is visible - don't care about the inside. He only mows when he receives final notices from the village. Bob has had a total disregard for this home and the people who live by this home. His attitude is ...he is Bob Tite and nobody tells him what to do....well I hope the judge tells him, he has had time and now his time is up....maybe a few weeks in jail will give him time to make a list of" fix it items" and then get it done NOW or face more time in jail!! When he is in jail he has an excuse for not repairing it....other than that, NO MORE EXCUSES! He has had offers to fix the home, paint the home he would not. He has the material, equipment and the money to fix it...he just does not. He was asking over $95,000.00 for the home....there was a time maybe that would have been a fair price-but that time has passed. Time now to pay the piper.... come on February court date!! Hope he goes to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200.00 you want to treat this like a game, well game on!!09:29 PM

You simply cant make excuses and make exceptions. Remember, you make an exception for one you have to do it to all. The place looks run down and its obvious its not going to get fixed.....so here is the solution. Side it, repair it and get the outside looking nice...OR......demo it. Plain and simple.03:19 PM

Hey reeeaaalllyyy- the problem is..... he has let the house "slide" for so long that now it has become an eyesore and safety hazard. This has been a long time concern and he has been asked to make repairs for years....he did nothing. You are correct-the hardware store has been a benefit to Wakeman and it would have been nice if he would have put some of that money back into the repairs for the home. The neighbors to that home are embarassed and that certainly causes problems to the values of their homes. He doesn't keep the lawn mowed unless the village sends him a letter to do so. I believe it DID have sentimental value, his kids did live in that home at a much happier time in Bob's life....but they moved in late 80's or very early 90's and since then he has rented the home and done little to nothing to maintain the home. He collected rent money and drank it away....now it is time to pay. The home has been empty for several years, windows busted out, paint peeled and it certainly presents safety concerns in it's current conditon. If Bob really cared about the home all he needs to do is repair the outside NOW and then work on the inside as he can. Now that he has said it has sentimental value I would challenge him to fix it NOW in Tony's memory, show the village how sentimental his memories really are.07:36 PM
reeeaaalllyyy says
I knew Tony . Went coon , squirl huntin with him as kids. If bobs in the bottle ... I just can't imagine Y that is ... So... for those of U bashin bob on that topic STFU . I'm sure the home needs immediate repair. I'm sure it's costly too ! So work with the guy and pan out some reasonable agreement . Anyone try offering a hand ? That dude would prolly come out of pocket to feed the whole town at a blockparty if you all showed that u gave a shit instead of backin him into a corner with a lawsuit.08:34 AM

Sitting In The ... says
Times are hard....I might believe that if you hadn't stated he owned the only hardware store in Wakeman for decades..where all the money from that? You would think he would of sank some of his money into the house at some point within the last ten years.07:41 PM
reeeaaalllyyy says
The hardware store ... went out of buisness ... you know, that's what happens when a small buisness is thriving and extreemly lucrative.06:13 PM
SMF1 says
When did the hardware store close?? The hardware store "closing" and Bob's ex getting it in their divorce are two different beasts.01:21 PM
Sitting In The ... says
So if you don't mind me asking how can it "be opened for decades" and he not make any money...you don't actually believe he never made any money and kept it open that long right?. I ask you did it close right around the time he got arrested for a DUI on the bulldozer or horse?. He has nobody to blame but himself.02:04 PM
reeeaaalllyyy says
So ... your saying that because he made some money serving the village for decades .... somehow someone has decided they have the right ( nerve ) to tell him what he must do with his earnings ? About property that he paid off and owes no taxes on ? Can't wait till the community dissagrees with you . (Sidenote : haha DUI on a horse LOL I hope to have that much fun someday =D )04:45 PM
Sitting In The ... says
Yes he decided not to maintain a house he owns ...and good luck on the whole community disagrees with me so far it only been you.06:39 PM

If you don't like how your neighbor keeps the house ... make an offer on it and handle the upkeep yourself ( put your money where your mouth is or STFU ! )06:35 PM
