Woman pleads guilty to selling heroin

An area woman who pleaded guilty Monday to selling heroin to a confidential informant faces six to 18 months in prison and a maximum fine of $5,000 when she is sentenced March 13 in Huron County Common Pleas Court.

Samantha L. Ramirez, 21, of Shelby, pleaded guilty to one charge of trafficking in heroin for a May 20 offense. In a plea deal, prosecutors agreed to dismiss two similar charges and won't pursue a failure to appear charge.

Ramirez sold 11 balloons of heroin to a confidential informant during a controlled purchase, Huron County Assistant Prosecutor Richard Woodruff said.

I feel that all drug dealers and users should go to PRISON! Felony's on there records would make a better wake up call then having to go to drug therapy or only jail.

sam needs to be sent to prison. She's been busted in Richland county for heroin also. At least this time she didn't accuse a cop of rape like she did in Shelby to try and get out of the charges. Her boyfriend and mother are junkies right along with her. Lock them all up and throw away the keys.
