Yeah - bash Ralph. That's okay though. You wonder why younger people have it harder? You narrow minded (or selfish) people expect things to go your way. It is your attitude that makes Urine County what it is.11:25 PM

@Ralph Dear sir, Keith Hawkins will be speaking at Main Street School this Friday for a presentation and workshop talking about how to make the world a place where we understand and value all people by building meaningful relationships. The presentation begins at 9:15 am in the auditorium. Your attendance would be greatly appreciated as I think you could learn a lot from Mr. Hawkins. When a person has character, they display kindness, integrity, honesty, commitment, respect, fairness, trustworthiness, and responsibility.12:29 AM

No thanks, I'll pass. I don't know who this person is but I suspect finding salvation will require you to buy his $40 book in the lobby along with t-shirts and key chains. You can find that kind of inner peace sitting at home watching the QVC channel. But hey, whatever floats your boat.04:53 PM

Ralph, you appear to be one high strung dude. I'd say a little too much anxiety, or you need your drugs monitored. A man with your knowledge needs to run for political office. I'd say you need another hobby, or maybe see a doctor to help with your sleeping problem.12:45 PM

Could be. There was a big meeting in Lorain county regarding this a few months ago. Apparently the same ground formations run through parts of Huron County that run through Lorain county and Ashland county. The commissioners would be grossly negligent to sell the property without first having a geological survey done and retaining any possible mineral rights.10:32 AM

Sell it to the raceway, that would be an improvement..11:52 AM

Property needs to go to the highest bidder. There probably are other groups out there that would pay more than the drag strip. There is talk of mineral rights in Huron County.12:10 PM

Poor Don, speaking without prior approval from LeClair and his crew will land him a spot right next to Silcox and Essex on the verbal whipping post. You'll learn Don when they say, "do some research" it really means, "call the Airport friends' hotline and we'll TELL YOU what to say".01:32 PM

My god Ralph, 2:06 AM & 2:14 AM - Don't you have a life or a job? Do you have the computer in bed with you, with a buzzer everytime someone posts a response. Try a sleeping pill. Unfortunately, even with your flare for the dramatic, I'm afraid the guy or people you seem to dispise so much are right on this issue. Like I said, we can end this issue by having the 3 commissioners stand up at any Tuesday morning meeting, vote on a resolution and sell the airport, and shut it down. Then you could get a good night's sleep... Like I said Ralph, you really need to get a life outside of working full time as a reflector poster.02:32 PM

You caught me. I'm really a super hero that tries to fight ignorance in the world. Every time ignorant comments happen a light and buzzer go off next to my bed and it's my obligation to investigate. Strangely at exactly 12:32 pm it went off again? You can imagine how hard it is to get any sleep at all with the guy or people you seem to adore running around. Throw in a full time job that also requires me to work at home on the computer quite often and you see why I'm up 24 hours a day.11:12 PM

If Frankenfield was better informed, and did his own research, instead of listening to Silcox and Essex, he would know you can't charge landing fees at publicly owned airport facilities.03:02 AM
Ralph Wiggum says
Oh really? The $3.70 FAA segment tax charged on a commercial passenger's ticket for every takeoff and landing is illegal? Maybe you mean illegal to charge a private plane owner but o.k. sticking it to John Q. Public once again?09:16 PM

Redskies, I agree but it takes a vote of the county commissioners and they don't seem to have the stones to make the decision. Guess they are afraid to face the FAA in court but that is the route they have to go.08:50 PM

Here's my idea - SELL IT TO SOMEONE WHO'LL PAY PROPERTY TAXES!08:41 PM

I find it hard to believe that raising fuel prices, hangar rents, and instituting a landing fee is "improving" the facility. If these charges drive away traffic, the loss of revenue will exceed the gains of the increases. This is backwards thinking and not in line with modern marketing thinking. Retailers cut prices to drive volume. When you increase prices, especially gas, volume drops. Maybe that is what he wants to happen.
