Feb. 18 to be 'Elegant Evening' in Norwalk

Folks can enjoy an "Elegant Evening for the Arts" and benefit Norwalk City Schools non-required programs -- all in one evening.
The 11th annual gala "An Elegant Evening for the Arts," presented by Fisher-Titus Medical Center, will take place on Saturday, Feb. 18, in the Ernsthausen Performing Arts Center.
The event will begins with a hors d'oeuvres reception and art exhibit at 7 p.m.
The evening's entertainment will follow at 8:30 p.m. with "An Evening with the Big Bands!" featuring the Toledo Symphony Orchestra.
The Endowment Fund for Norwalk City Schools was established in 2000 to support the school system in non-funded endeavors such as student scholarships, faculty grants and the Ernsthausen Performing Arts Center. Since the Fund's inception, 144 college scholarships and 20 faculty grants have been awarded.
The Endowment Fund is a community-based organization designed to provide a stable source of funding for non-required school programs. Its purpose is to fund programming in areas such as music, art, drama, educational programs, student scholarships, faculty grants, the Ernsthausen Performing Arts Center and other extracurricular activities. Contributions to the Endowment Fund are professionally invested and remain untouched. The current market value of the Endowment Fund remains more than $1,000,000.
