Thanks to Jon Favreau's regular tweeting, he's given us a nifty breakdown on the first week of filming of "Iron Man 2."

He's also let us know how he'll spend Easter weekend by posting this today at 3:29 PM: "Happy Good Friday. I will spend it working on the script and prepping for next week's work."

We also learn that Mickey Rourke has been on-set for at least two days; he's playing the villain Whiplash. (To learn about the comic book original, click here.) T

ake it away, Jon:

4:17 PM April 6 — Lunch! Boy it's great to be back at work. Many familiar faces in cast and crew. I am so blessed to do what I love with wonderful people.

11:44 PM April 6 — First day went great. I've never worked on a sequel before. It's like we picked up where we left off.

10:34 AM April 7 — Day 2. Slept like a rock. Finally. Not used to these long hours.

5:58 PM April 7 — Swarm of paparazzi on set.

10:59 PM April 7 — Wrapped day two. Time for some sleep. So great to work with Garry.

[Cary here: "Garry" refers to Garry Shandling, who will be playing Sen. Stern, whoever that is.]

4:33 PM April 8 — Mickey Roarke's first day.

6:59 PM April 8 — Rourke does not disappoint.

1:24 AM April 9 — Stayed late to watch dailies. It's great to see these characters come to life.

12:04 PM April 9 — Day four begins. More Mickey.

3:13 PM April 9 — Sorry I can't post Twitpics at this time. Tight leash on images from the set. I'll post what I can when I can.

About 1 AM April 10 — Wrapped. End of week one. Will spend the long weekend prepping for next week's work and relaxing with the family.

A long weekend? Huh. Must be nice.

I didn't realize it was his first sequel. That makes it interesting. I loved the first one and I can imagine the excitement they must be feeling in creating the next step in the series. Assuming there will be one more..hahaha.

It probably also poses some apprehension in wondering if the sequel could possibly be as successful as the first. I would thing that with each scene they are trying their hardest to keep it up and make it better.

A long weekend is a dream. I woke up today just hoping there was a way I could make it my day off. But meetings and committments make that difficult; I am heading to one now!

Thanks for the update on the flick.
