More 'CSI' news: Unit will get new leader?

CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler confirmed William "Grissom" Peterson will leave the show after the 10th episode during the annual TV critics tour in Beverly Hills.

According to this Entertainment Weekly story, she "gave contradicting comments" about Grissom being replaced by "a new, yet-to-be cast actor."

“He won’t replace Billy but will add an element that is going to inform the dynamic of the team,” said Tassler, who described next season as "DVR proof."
