New CSI-er coming next season

"CSI" lost two regulars this season (if you want to call it that) and it looks like CBS is already selecting replacements.

Lauren Lee Smith (who played Lara Perkins in "The L Word" from 2004 until 2006) will be playing CSI agent Bryce Adams next year. Entertainment Weekly describes the character as "a flirty and smart CSI who entered law enforcement to rebel against a controlling father."

The EW news brief goes on to say there should be more cast announcements coming soon, but of course that info is attributed to an undisclosed "inside source."

As you could guess, my "CSI"-related blogs will be few and far between since the season has ended last week. I've been considering doing a review of the second TDK trailer; the very short-lived Batman-related "Birds of Prey" TV series is coming out on DVD 12 days after the BIG Movie so I'll be reviewing that here or in my column and I'm sure I'll want to rant on many other things during The Summer of the Dark Knight, so stay tuned!
