You’ve Come A Long Way, JLo

New York City might be the great melting pot where a beautiful and driven young girl who dubbed herself “Jenny from the Block” can dream, but the Hamptons are where the mega-mogul named JLo goes after she’s become an entertainment industry juggernaut.

And where might Jennifer Lopez, her twins and her 25-year-old dancer boyfriend Casper Smart better spend the summer months than her new $10 million estate in Water Mill?

After taking a few ganders, Lopez has put her money down on an 8-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom house that spans 8,500 square feet. But the main attraction might have been the privacy factor. Situated on a cul-de-sac, the classic shake-sided home sits on two lots complete with sprawling lawns, pool, tennis court and jungle gym.

Fox In the Vineyard

Leave it to media mogul Rupert Murdoch to broadcast his latest acquisition: A Bel Air estate that includes a vineyard. But he didn’t use any of those old-school News Corp. outlets to spread the news. He took to Twitter, gushing:

“About to celebrate buying beautiful small vineyard right in LA. Great wine, Moraga, owned by great Angelino, Tom Jones. Time cover,1961!”

The 13-acre parcel in Los Angeles includes Moraga Vineyards and Winery and a 7,500-square-foot home built in 1940 by “Gone With the Wind” and “The Wizard of Oz” director Victor Fleming. There’s also a wine cave, guesthouse and 4,400-square-foot office.

Murdoch did not tweet the sale price, said to be $29.5 million.

NASCAR Star Zoom, Zooms From Manhattan

After building a dream home in Charlotte, N.C., Jeff Gordon is ready to party with his elegantly luxurious residence in New York. The all-time NASCAR earnings winner made a big splash last week when he listed his 15 Central Park West abode for a cool $30 million.

Gordon and his wife bought Apartment 7C in 2007 and turned the place into a palace that the listing agent said came courtesy of a “painstaking, no-expense-spared renovation (that) has ensured that every detail of this 3,454-square-foot home exudes modern elegance and comfort.”

On the heels of competing in his career 700th race, Gordon is now looking to consolidate his real estate holdings so he and his model wife can raise their two kids in the heart of NASCAR country.

Late Night Getaway Sounds Cool

Rickey Minor served as the affably mellow bandleader on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” But now he’s serving notice that his West Hollywood gated compound is for sale.

The $4.95 million estate on Montcalm Avenue comes with a cliff-side swimming pool on over half an acre that makes for an irresistible oasis in the heart of La-La Land.
