Super Model Lists Super Home
In the 70s, Cheryl Tiegs was synonymous with the California cool look of beauty when her aquiline nose and crystal-clear eyes and sun-kissed face graced the cover of Sports Ilustrated’s Swimsuit Edition – and just about every other pop culture magazine. Now the first supermodel is looking to cash on another one of her beautiful assets.
Tiegs has listed her sumptuous East Bel Air home for $12 million. The Nimes Place house, where Tiegs has lived for about 20 years, sits on 1.43 lushly gardened acres and is replete with dark woods for a very Zen/Balinese vibe.
Yeah for Kanye!
After trying to sell his Hollywood Hills modern home for $3.95 million back in 2010 but having no luck, the irrepressible rap star Kanye West has finally found a buyer for the 4,200-square-foot house. Just in time, too, since West and girlfriend/baby mama Kim Kardashian have settled into their newly purchased Bel-Air mansion and are said to be looking for more real estate acquisitions in places like Brazil, Miami or Paris.
Word is that West got $3 million for the minimalist pad he bought back in 2003 for $1.3 million. No word on whether the Jetsons’ cartoon art wall decorations go with the new buyer.
Billy Bob: Downsized
After selling the 11,000-square-foot house in Bel-Air he shared with ex-wife Angelina Jolie, “Sling Blade” star Billy Bob Thornton has bought a new place that is about one-third the size. For a man who has been married five times, it looks like his real estate selection process has been influenced by a “Less Is More” credo.
Thorton’s new Brentwood home cost the eclectic singer/writer/actor about $2.7 million. And at 3,400 square feet, it is a downright cozy place for Thornton and his girlfriend, Connie Angland, and their daughter, Bella.
