Vote for the Truckers

Whether or not something can be the “most” unique of anything( Hint: It can’t. There are no degrees of unique. Something is either unique or it’s not. USA Today should know that), you can still vote for “The Truckers” in USA Today’s Most (sic) Unique High School Mascot Contest. The local school is the in the Top 5 “most” unique for the state of Ohio, voting for which ends on March 5.

Rails to Trails work day

Via Facebook: Firelands Rails to Trails will hold a big work day this Saturday, March 1 from 8 am to 12 noon to pick up twigs, debris and trash which may have blown in over the winter. Now is the time to get the trail ready for spring before the vegetation starts to grow and bloom and before the trail gets busy.

Volunteers should meet at North West Street and work will start west of there. Bring gloves, rakes, trash or seed bags. If we have a good crowd we may send a group to Monroeville as well.  The trail will be featured in an upcoming video which will be shot from both the air and the ground! Let's get it looking A-1 in time for spring!
