‘Secret shopper’ scam reported
New London Police, via Facebook, report the following: Complainant on Shadyside reports being involved in a scam through an on-line company from Florida as a "secret shopper". Complainant stated she received a $975.00 money order that she deposited in her account but was found to be counterfeit. Information sent to the Florida & Ohio Attorney Generals Office for review and possible charges.
