Locals in the limelight
Durable Corporation’s Tom Secor of Willard was the subject of a Wall Street Journal article about the fiscal cliff deal cut earlier in the week by the president and Congress. The gist: Secor might have to pay 4 percent more taxes on his projected $400K in income this year and he appears to be a little less than pleased about it:

Hoax exposed
The Daily Dot, the Web site founded by former Reflector reporter Nick White, was cited by an industry publication for it’s exposure of a massive Wikipedia hoax that fooled the site’s editors for half-a-decade. The hoax concerned the 1640-1641 Portugal-India Bicholim Conflict which, it turns out, was completely made up.
