City Mom Leaves Tots Home Alone

A report on a mother who admitted leaving her children ages one and two, home alone in bed while she went to local bars is to be turned over to Juvenile Court by Norwalk police.

A Norwalk patrolman reported that as he was patrolling on Milan Avenue at 2:30 this morning the woman's husband flagged him down. He said that his wife was walking up the street without shoes on and her blouse torn.

He indicated that she had walked out of the house after they got into an argument about her having left the children alone and going to the bars.

3 Injured In Rt. 250 Crash

Three persons from Norwalk and Huron were injured Friday in a spectacular accident near Milan involving two cars and a semi-trailer truck.

The cars were demolished in the mishap which occurred at 5:55 p.m. on a bridge on Route 250.

Injured were:

Howard Mann, 24, of 64 West Seminary St., Norwalk, minor lacerations on the forehead.

Karen Libbee, 19, of 23 Pearl St., Norwalk, severe lacerations of a foot. She was listed as a passenger in Mann's car.

Robert Fowler, 19, Huron, lacerations and bruises on right leg. He and Miss Libbee are in Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital.

The State Highway Patrol said Fowler was charged with driving too close to another vehicle.

Quickies

Maurice H. Fowler, 12 Homewood, reported to police Friday night that the top of his convertible was split while the car was parked in the teachers' lot at the rear of Norwalk High School. The damage occurred between 5:30 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. Friday.

George F. Linn, M.D., Huron County Health Commissioner, has announced that President Lyndon B. Johnson has declared next week Poison Prevention Week.

David Pinkerton, of the Norwalk High School Music Department, and his wife Carol put out novel announcements of the birth of their daughter Amy Lynn last week.

The announcements, which show a music staff, report "We've added another note to our staff!"

Theme is listed as "Amy Lynn," first performance March 8.
