HIGHWAY PATROL Jorge I. Gabriel, 28, of 30 Townsend St., Greenwich, was charged with failure to control Thursday after he went off the right side of Rome Greenwich Road, hit a ditch and overturned. He reported no injuries.

HIGHWAY PATROL

Jorge I. Gabriel, 28, of 30 Townsend St., Greenwich, was charged with failure to control Thursday after he went off the right side of Rome Greenwich Road, hit a ditch and overturned. He reported no injuries.

Diana L. Campbell, 51, of 1540 1/2 U.S. 250 New London, was charged with failure to control Thursday after she went off the right side of Ohio 162 and hit a fence.

MONROEVILLE PD

Steve l. McMillin, 44, of 520 Milan Ave., Lot 70, was charged with failure to yield the right of way at an intersection Monday in the collision with the vehicle driven by James C. Huffman, 25, of Medina, at the intersection of U.S. 20 and Ohio 547.

NORWALK FIRE

Assisted North Central EMS with a patient who fell and refused to be transported to the hospital at 4:29 p.m. Thursday at 306 S. Norwalk Road. Returned to station at 4:53.

NORWALK POLICE

James C. Gilmore, 45, of Ontario, was charged with a red light violation Thursday in the collision with the vehicle driven by Daniel J. Zeman, 56, of Hudson, at the intersection of East U.S. 20 and Old State Road.

The Perkins Township Police Department reported having Timothy P. Snyder Jr., 26, of Sandusky, in custody on a local warrant Thursday and was charged with failure to pay fines and costs. He is serving a seven-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

Jon W. Onest, 42, of 77A Key Drive, was arrested on three warrants Thursday and charged with failure to appear for a hearing that day on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, obstructing official business and criminal damaging. He was held in the Huron County Jail until his Norwalk Municipal Court appearance.

Paul D. Russell, 35, and Jodi L. Hunter, 34, both of 2 Manahan Ave., were charged with disorderly conduct Thursday in connection with a domestic altercation.

A Cleveland Road motorist reported running over several one-inch metal construction plates near the Whittlesey Avenue and League Street construction site which ripped off part of his exhaust system Thursday.

An employee of a Milan Avenue business reported someone drove off without paying for about $20 worth of gasoline Thursday.

No citation was issued Thursday in the collision between the vehicles driven by James A. Gilliam Jr., 54, of 1121 Penn Road, North Fairfield, and Ann E. Hinckley, 24, of 59 Chapel Drive, at the intersection of Norwood Avenue and West Elm Street.

An area resident reported seeing a suspicious person with a flashlight Thursday on West Ohio 162, Monroeville.

The Bellevue Police Department requested assistance with a person suspected of wanting to hurt himself Thursday.

An area motorist reported the railroad gates were down on U.S. 250, New London, without a train being there Thursday.

An East U.S. 20, Wakeman, resident reported a suspected prowler Thursday.

An area motorist reported a downed tree across Lovers Lane Road between Drake and Schaffer roads Thursday.

An area resident surrendered an undisclosed weapon to a deputy at the sheriff's office Thursday.

Determined there had been no break-in at an Old State Road, Greenwich, out building Thursday when the resident wasn't there.

A Butler Road, Wakeman, resident accused a motorist in a blue vehicle of speeding and was concerned the driver might hurt himself or others Thursday.

An East U.S. 20, Wakeman, resident reported a theft Thursday.

A Broad Street, Bellevue, resident reported eight to nine rings and one pair of earrings had been missing for about two weeks as of Thursday.
