NORWALK FIRE

Assisted a female patient who slipped on the ice at 2:07 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of West Monroe and Hester streets. Firefighters helped the conscious woman to her feet and North Central EMS arrived to assume patient care. A police dispatcher advised the building owner of the icy sidewalk. Returned to station at 2:23.

Extinguished two large piles of burning brush and debris because of earlier smoke complaints at 6:14 p.m. Thursday at 5 Laurel Lane. Returned to station at 7:51.

Assisted North Central EMS with a child patient having seizures at 6:42 p.m. Thursday at 51 Harris St. Returned to station at 6:55.

NORWALK POLICE

No citation was issued Thursday after Dennis J. Shrader, 31, of 173 St. Mary's St., backed out of his driveway into the westbound vehicle driven by William C. Dillon, 51, of 64 Simpson Ave., on St. Mary's Street.

Phillip D. Vinson, 34, of 520 Milan Ave., Lot 224, was arrested on six warrants Thursday and charged with failure to pay fines and costs. He is serving a 10-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

An Ohio Street resident accused someone of stealing water from his outdoor faucet Thursday.

Beltran A. Aguilar, 45, of 81 E. Monroe St., was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in connection with a domestic disturbance Thursday. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

A State Street resident reported losing her Motorola cell phone in a taxi Thursday. The incident remains under investigation.

SHERIFF'S OFFICE

An area resident reported someone was "pelting" rocks at his camper Thursday on Austin Drive, Willard.

A Chenango Road, Wakeman, resident reported the theft of his trash Thursday and was concerned about possible identity theft.

Dispatchers were advised of an alarm activation at a Townsend Avenue business Thursday.

Brenda Sweet, 45, of 503 Spangler St., Willard, was arrested on five warrants Thursday and charged with failure to pay fines and costs. She currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

Shaynna Branham, 24, of 503 Spangler St., Willard, was arrested on undisclosed Richland County Sheriff's Office warrants Thursday. She was transferred to the Willard Police Department so arrangements could be made for her to be released to Richland County.

An employee of a Cleveland Road business reported a suspected fraud Thursday.

The Erie County Jail reported having a prisoner ready to be transferred to a deputy on two local warrants Thursday. Todd F. Glenaman, 43, of Logan, was charged with aggravated drug trafficking, a second-degree felony, and trafficking in drugs, a fourth-degree felony. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

A U.S. 224, Greenwich, resident reported her 14-year-old son was missing after he was sent to look for the family's pet dog that fled the home Thursday.

An Ohio 61, Willard, resident reported the theft of four tractor weights Thursday.

The state Highway Patrol requested a deputy check the intersection of Ohio 61 and Ohio 598 near Willard for a possible accident Thursday. Troopers had been notified by paramedics they had transported a patient from the intersection to Mercy Hospital of Willard.

Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call about a Greenwich Milan Townline Road domestic dispute Thursday.

A Hartland Center Road, Collins, resident reported being assaulted Thursday.
