Seniors ought to be grateful for what they have

This is in reference to the Thursday article "Seniors' choice: buy pills or pay bills."

I am a 72-year-old senior who appreciates all the benefits we receive. Complaining seniors make us all look ungrateful. We have so many benefits, which we take for granted.

I feel sorry for our young working class, who are paying huge amounts of taxes to pay for these benefits. The worst part for these young workers is that they will never get a fraction of Social Security. They are also going to have to work much longer before retiring. Seniors are living so long now some have been retired longer than they worked.

Let's count our blessings instead of complaining.
