Student speaker Kaylyn Talkington, a senior at Norwalk High School, talked about the importance of Memorial Day to everyone. She was the Citizen Award Winner this year at NHS, while Joel Boose took top honors at St. Paul.

The flag presentation to Huron County Commissioner Mike Adelman was made in memory of George Lawrence, Charles Flory and George Deering.

The invocation and benediction were given by the Rev. Rob Duncan.

Parade grand marshals this year were Harry (Bud) Newton, Fred Hespeler and Dwight Coder. All three have been members of the American Legion for more than 60 years.
