FIRELANDS OUTDOOR NOTEBOOK - Old-timers offer insight about another world

Some people don't like to be around old timers for any longer than absolutely necessary. Why? Because they seem to live in the past, and prattle endlessly about things that happened 60 years ago. Or 70 or 80. But did you ever sit down and really listen to some oldster talking about the Good Old Days? I have, many a time. Their tales make some fascinating listening, and give an insight into a way of life that we'll probably never see again.
