The Norwalk High School boys' basketball team has captured its first district title since the early 1970s and advanced to the regional tournament. The Truckers are one of just 16 teams still competing for the state's Division I championship.
Norwalk defeated Anthony Wayne High School by a 52-38 score Saturday in the district final at Bowling Green State University. (NOTE - To see photos of the Norwalk game, click HERE.)
The Truckers, who remain perfect with a 23-0 record, are scheduled to play Toledo Whitmer in a regional semifinal contest at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the University of Toledo. Whitmer defeated Sylvania Southview 44-24 Saturday.
Norwalk isn't the only area boys' basketball team to advance to the regionals, however.
New London defeated Lake 70-42 on Saturday, capturing a Division III district title at Norwalk High School. (NOTE - To see photos of the New London game, click HERE.)
The Wildcats, winners of 16 in a row and 20-3 overall, will play Ottawa-Glandorf in a regional semifinal contest at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bowling Green State University. Ottawa-Glandorf defeated Archbold 38-26.

New London is 19-11? No way they've played 30 games this season. Teams that win state don't even play that many. Come on Reflector, you are better than this!
New London has a record of 20 wins and just three losses. The Wildcats have won 16 games in a row.
