No Republicans file to run against Lesch

No Republican candidate filed petitions to challenge Norwalk Mayor Sue Lesch, a Democrat, by Thursday's deadline. An independent candidate has until May 7 to file petitions to oppose Lesch in November's election. Democrat Shane Penrose, Republican Steve Euton, both at large, Republican Bob Carleton, second ward, Republican Tom Stoll, third ward, and Democrat Christopher Mushett, fourth ward, all filed petitions to retain their seats on city council. Independent, at large, council members Skip Wilde and Dwight Tkach have not yet filed to seek re-election.

No Republican candidate filed petitions to challenge Norwalk Mayor Sue Lesch, a Democrat, by Thursday's deadline. An independent candidate has until May 7 to file petitions to oppose Lesch in November's election.

Democrat Shane Penrose, Republican Steve Euton, both at large, Republican Bob Carleton, second ward, Republican Tom Stoll, third ward, and Democrat Christopher Mushett, fourth ward, all filed petitions to retain their seats on city council. Independent, at large, council members Skip Wilde and Dwight Tkach have not yet filed to seek re-election.

Republican Tera Thornhill, who currently represents the first ward, did not file petitions to seek re-election. Democrat Lynn Chapin will square off against Republican Scott Krichbaum for that seat.
