HIGHWAY PATROL Lawrence E. Culver, 67, of Sandusky, was charged with failure to yield the right of way Feb. 15 in the collision with the vehicle driven by Craig D. Stoldt, 54, of Huron, at the intersection of Ohio 113 and Prairie Road. Culver's van went off the right side of Ohio 113 and hit a stop sign and utility pole. North Central EMS transported Culver to Firelands Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

HIGHWAY PATROL

Lawrence E. Culver, 67, of Sandusky, was charged with failure to yield the right of way Feb. 15 in the collision with the vehicle driven by Craig D. Stoldt, 54, of Huron, at the intersection of Ohio 113 and Prairie Road. Culver's van went off the right side of Ohio 113 and hit a stop sign and utility pole. North Central EMS transported Culver to Firelands Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

Matthew E. Woods, 18, of 23 Newton St., Apt. C8, was charged with failure to control Saturday after he went left center while traveling northwest on U.S. 250 and collided with an Ohio Department of Transportation truck at the intersection with Fitchville River Road.

Connie R. Garber, 66, of Lagrange, was charged with failure to control Monday after she drove through a patch of snow on Ohio 303. Her car went off the left side, overturned and stopped in a ditch. She reported minor injuries, but wasn't transported.

Tiffanee A. Jewell, 35, of 3899 West St., New Haven, was charged with failure to control Monday after she drove through an icy spot on Ohio 103, went off the right side and hit an embankment. Citizens Ambulance transported her and her passenger, Debra K. Wilson, 50, of 311 Woodland Ave., Apt. B, Willard, to Mercy Hospital of Willard with minor injuries.

Jeffrey C. Norris, 40, of Wooster, hit a deer Tuesday on U.S. 250.

Anthony D. Sinclair, 30, of 47 S. Kniffin St., Greenwich, was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance Wednesday after he failed to stop at a Rome Greenwich Road stop sign at the Baseline Road intersection near the Richland County line. He went off the left side of the road and hit an embankment.

NORWALK FIRE

Responded to a possible heart attack victim, but the patient was in an ambulance upon arrival at 8:16 a.m. Wednesday at 246 Woodlawn Ave. Returned to station at 8:19.

Performed a gas odor investigation at 5:59 p.m. Wednesday at 51 Stoutenburg Drive. Returned to station at 6:15.

Responded to a smoke detector activation at 2:58 a.m. today at 178 Tucker Ave. where a pizza box in the oven caught on fire when the resident preheated the unit. Returned to station at 3:30.

NORWALK POLICE

A Chapel Drive resident reported his daughter received a threatening voice mail message on her cell phone Wednesday. The incident remains under investigation.

Arrested a 15-year-old Adams Street girl and charged her with being unruly in connection with a Norwalk High School incident Wednesday. Police arrested a 16-year-old Newton Street girl in connection with being insubordinate during another incident and released her to her grandfather. Police forwarded a report to the Huron County Prosecutor's Office and Huron County Juvenile Court related to the second incident.

The Richland County Sheriff's Office reported having Cory A. Stratton, 20, of 314 Crestwood Drive, Willard, on two local contempt of court warrants Wednesday. He is serving a 10-day sentence at the Huron County Jail on the initial charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding.

The Huron Police Department reported having Arthur E. Stallard, 47, of 3 E. Main St., No. 1, New London, in custody on seven local warrants Wednesday. He was charged with failure to report to jail and failure to pay fines and costs. Stallard currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

Deborah A. Claudio, 53, of 185 W. Main St., No. 3, was arrested on two warrants Wednesday and charged with passing bad checks. She currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

Arrested a 17-year-old Sandusky boy plus Brandon L. Viock, 21, of 202 S. Main St., Willard, and Jeffrey J. Spencer Jr., 22, of 88 Milan Ave., in connection with a Benedict Avenue business disturbance today. The suspects were charged with assault, disorderly conduct and obstructing official business.

Juanita L. Brickner, 34, of 91A Grove Ave., was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct today and released to a sober person.

SHERIFF'S OFFICE

Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call from an area motorist who almost hit a young female pedestrian Wednesday on Ohio 99, Monroeville.

The state Highway Patrol requested a deputy check on a vehicle parked on Bullhead Road, Willard, Wednesday.

An Ohio 99, Willard, resident reported a Cuyahoga County foster child ran away Wednesday. The complainant suspected the girl was attempting to get to Cleveland.

A Fern Road, Willard, resident requested a deputy check on the well-being of a elderly man sitting in a parked van Wednesday.

A Fayette Road, New London, resident reported the theft of construction tools Wednesday.

An employee of a U.S. 224, Willard, business reported the theft of a CB radio from her truck Wednesday.

An Ohio 162, New London, resident reported a private property accident Wednesday.

An East U.S. 224, Greenwich, resident reported a suspicious vehicle Wednesday.
