HURON A magic mirror can help one seek true love at least that's the case in "The Emperor's New Clothes," a musical version of which will open the Caryl Crane Children's Theatre season next month.
The group, based at BGSU Firelands, will stage the music at 7:30 p.m. March 1, 2 and 3 and at 2:30 p.m. March 4 in the college's McBride Auditorium.
The story centers on a prince seeking his true love with the aid of a magic mirror, and his plan to trick the emperor by weaving new "magical" clothes.
The cast of 34 comes from eight communities and 12 schools in three-county area. Norwalk-area actors and the roles they will play are: Norwalk resident John Aiello will play the emperor; Norwalk home-schooled student Liz Kagy as Millie; Edison High School student Cody Noon as the constable; Norwalk MIddle School student Abby Freeman as Becky; and Norwalk Middle School student Carissa Boucher as well as homeschooled student David Patterson in minor roles.

Special group rates for 15 or more are available. The box office will open on Feb. 26, with hours from 1 to 7 p.m. through Friday, 3 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
