HIGHWAY PATROL

Frederick M. Bailey, 39, of 5861 Fox Glove Drive, New London, hit a deer Feb. 8 on Townline Road 187.

No citation was issued immediately Saturday after the vehicles driven by Andrew E. Columbus, 52, of 2904 Fayette Road, New London, and Charles J. Stanley, 55, of 1880 Greenwich Milan Townline Road, Greenwich, passed each other and the side mirrors hit each other. Columbus' blood alcohol content level tested at .109.

Megan E. Blanton, 31, of 52 New St., Greenwich, was charged with failure to control Saturday after she swerved to miss a deer while traveling south on Old State Road, went off the right side and hit a road marker sign and a ditch.

Kailee M. Montgomery, 16, of 3720 Edwards Road, Greenwich, was charged with failure to control Monday after she drove into some snow on the right side of Edwards Road. She overcorrected, her car spun, went off the left side and hit a fence.

Tiffany A. Miller, 20, of Lorain, hit a deer Monday on Ohio 60.

David J. Poole, 40, of 4599 Egypt Road, Willard, was charged with failure to control Tuesday after he slid off the south side of Ohio 162 into a field and hit a utility pole. He stopped in a ditch while attempting to re-enter the road.

Claude V. Martin, 85, of 2282 New State Road, was charged with failure to control Tuesday after he went off the right side of New State Road and hit a guardrail and utility pole.

Alisha L. Mullaney, 24, of 209 Woodland Ave., Willard, was charged with failure to control Tuesday after she went off the left side of Ohio 61 and hit a ditch.

Phyllis F. Heffelfinger, 50, of Loudonville, was charged with failure to control Tuesday after she failed to negotiate a left hand curve on U.S. 250 and hit a concrete bridge embankment.

Michael W. Horvatic, 37, of Verona, Pa., was charged with a red light violation Wednesday in the collision with the vehicle driven by Mark C. Klenk, 42, of Sandusky, at the intersection of U.S. 20 and Ohio 4.

Thomas P. Mangotic, 19, of Maumee, was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance Wednesday after he hit the rear of the stopped vehicle driven by Kenneth C. Baker Jr., 39, of 23 Mechanic St., Berlin Heights, on U.S. 20 at the intersection with Ohio 162.

NORWALK FIRE

Responded with North Central EMS and the Norwalk Police Department to a male patient who fell at 8:41 a.m. Wednesday at 72 Grove Ave. Returned to station at 9:05.

Responded to a propane leak, but the owner had turned the propane off when firefighters arrived at 10:25 a.m. Wednesday at 1394 Peru Hollow Road. Firefighters advised the owner to contact the propane company before turning the gas back on. Returned to station at 11:29.

Assisted North Central EMS with patient care and checked vehicles involved in the accident for hazards at 2:54 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Whittlesey Avenue and Washington Street. Returned to station at 3:15.

Assisted North Central EMS with a choking infant who was checked by paramedics at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday at 18 Marion Drive. Returned to station at 7:11.

Responded to an elevator alarm at 8:18 p.m. Wednesday at 180 Milan Ave. The elevators were in working order in the vacant building. Returned to station at 8:50.

NORWALK POLICE

Corrie E. Saunders-Horn, 24, of 58A Fruen St., was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance Wednesday after she hit the rear of the stopped vehicle driven by Elzie E. Conkel, 52, of 91 Milan Ave., at the intersection of Cline Street and U.S. 250. Conkel's passenger, Judith A. Conkel, 63, reported possible injuries, but wasn't transported.

William J. Nickoli, 45, of 3 Deerfield Ave., was charged with a stop sign violation Wednesday in the collision with the vehicle driven by Jason A. Suter, 27, of 24 Orchard Lane, at the intersection of East Ohio 61 and Corwin Street.

David A. France, 32, of 28F Bouscay Ave., was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance Wednesday after he hit the rear of the stopped vehicle driven by John M. Lynch, 51, of 163 Whittlesey Ave., on Whittlesey Avenue. North Central EMS transported Lynch's passenger, Patricia J. Lynch, 51, to Fisher-Titus Medical Center with minor injuries.

No citation was issued immediately Wednesday after Edward J. Myers, 59, of 22 S. Garden St., backed up to continue plowing snow and the salt spreader on the back of the city plow truck collided with the driver's window of the vehicle driven by Angel R. Morales, 39, of 119 Fourth St., Willard, at the intersection of State and East Main streets.

Gerald E. Scott, 50, of 4911 Plank Road, was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance Wednesday after he hit the rear of the vehicle driven by Richard E. Rogers, 58, of Huron, at the intersection of U.S. 250 and League Street.

A Whittlesey Avenue resident reported the theft of his MTD snow blower Wednesday.

No citation was issued immediately Wednesday after Myron E. Jacobs Jr., 48, of 65 S. Linwood Ave., hit the rear of the vehicle driven by Tyler M. Smith, 17, of 731 Townline Road 151, at the intersection of Norwood Avenue and West Elm Street.

SHERIFF'S OFFICE

Dispatchers were advised of an alarm activation at a Greenwich Milan Townline Road business Wednesday, due to a power outage.

An East U.S. 20, Wakeman, resident reported someone sprayed caulking on and dumped a pink substance on his vehicle Wednesday.

An area resident reported losing a cell phone Wednesday.

An Ohio 601 resident reported being involved in a shoving match with a neighbor over shoveling snow in the driveway Wednesday.

An Egypt Road, Willard, resident reported a domestic dispute Wednesday.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office reported there was an abandoned vehicle partially on Hartland Center Road, Collins, near the county line Wednesday.
